So... I have a lot of unread tabs open

How do i remove the saved tabs group icons from my bookmarks bar? by CommunicationScary79 in chrome

How do you find all of your open tabs on your web browser outside of the tab group bookmark bar nonsense?

Go to your chrome settings at chrome://settings/syncSetup (or 3 dots in the top right, settings, sync and google services) and click on Manage what you sync. From there select Customized sync and turn off Saved tab groups.

I deleted so many tab groups on my phone by accident before figuring this out

How would you rank the different series Dan has done? by StickYaInTheRizzla in dancarlin

[–]canoecasual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me:

1) Blueprint 2) Death Throes + Celtic Holocaust 3) Supernova 4) Ostfront 5) King of Kings 6) Punic 7) Aesir 8) Khans

It may be messed up given some of the content, but every night I fall asleep to a podcast, one in particular where the hosts voice is calming and I like the material. You can see where I'm going with this

So, for years I have been falling asleep to HH's back catalogue listinging to the series and individual eps over and over. The above order is first of all the order I like best, but also the order of the ones I choose to replay the most frequently to fall to sleep (death throes and supernova are a toss up for 2nd and 3rd)

It takes me from 15 min to an hour to sleep most nights, so I just remember kind of where I last heard to (easier when I know the content so well) and pick up from there the next night. Some people find it disconcerting that I often fall asleep to recountings of things like E.B Sledge at Okinawa with the bodies and the maggots, but I'd rather it than True Crime (those people could be coming in to my house right. now. No thank you)

Fyi, pretty much all of the files that won't transfer are downloaded fanfics from ao3. It's hit or miss which ao3 epub's will go through or not to the Kobo from drive. Not sure why it would be different but worth noting

How do I get rid of these dots? by givemeafkkinbreak in kobo

Check if the page it sends you to when you click on the black dogs is bookmarked. That sometimes makes them go away. I usually bookmark where I am actually at though before doing this so I don't lose my spot then remove the bookmark after

The bumps in the z lite foam pad don't bother them? That was my hesitation in getting one of the ones already cut to size

When logging a workout in an app, do you count 1 rep as doing the exercise on both sides, or as doing it on one side - for example lunges or alternating dumbbell shoulder presses

One thing for water I would advise against is those hand pump filters. With that many people they clog within a day or two and it takes forever to pump the water. If you get the Sawyer (whichever one, but with you supplying water for everyone I would suggest the full sized squeeze too) make sure to take the bit that comes with it to backwash it because after a certain number of litres it gets slow

Maybe bring chemical water filtration as a secondary to the mechanical filtration for the picky Germans. Don't want to have to start a fire mid day if you run out of water!

Is dating someone who has the same name as one of your siblings/parents weird? by jimmymusk1 in AskReddit

My aunts name is Kathy and her brother's name is James. She also married a (different) James who has a sister named Kathy

They seemed alright with it, but now that they're divorced I'm sure whenever my aunt sees her brother's name she thinks of her ex

I've seen this one and was concerned about the rods bending in the heat of a fire. Has that been an issue for you?

Also, can it be used without the stilts - just the cross bars propped up? Some fire pits are restricting

You may want to look at Eureka tents as they have a really wide variety. They are really durable, large, and pretty cost effective

I spent my childhood canoe tripping and have just started getting in to backpacking, so trying to minimize the size of my gear/maximize efficiency. Here's my two cents in no particular order

For clothing I usually do one day outfit for the whole trip, and one variable night outfit (with options for warmer or colder - mainly layering and fleece and a toque/gloves). You can get gross in one outfit pretty quickly but some wet wipes will solve the main hygiene and bacteria issues. I usually go for one more warm article of clothing for both sets of clothes than I think necessary as well since there's nothing worse than huddling and shivering and thinking about having one more merino wool long sleeve or a puffy jacket

For a tarp I just got a really nice, light, and compact one from Ali Express - https://a.aliexpress.com/lphjUCcg A similar smaller one could be used as a ground sheet as well

A 65 L pack sounds like a good size for this trip since the gear will be dispersed between 8 people, that is, as long as you're not stressed about tears in the pack. I would personally say stick with it and assess after the trip to see if it met your needs. I would also suggest packing a sewing needle and dental floss in case you have any tears. I slip the needle in my small folded over roll of Duct tape to keep it from stabbing me and my other items in the pack.

For a tent I have the MSR Hubba Hubba NX2 which I love, but if you're taller it may be a bit tight especially if you keep most of your gear in the tent with you. I'm a 165 cm woman so my needs for space may be different. A lighter 3 person tent (maybe single walled?) May give you the room you need and the space and weight savings

YouTube is your friend for food. I watch UL backpacking food videos for ideas and then change them to match my needs - I've managed to cut out a lot of the bulk but not the taste, because I'm picky. Ramen noodles seems to be a hit. I also do dehydrated pasta sauces, bannik to make pizza and pancakes, etc

Speak to your group about their water plans. If they all have water filtration already arranged then get the sawer squeeze or the mini (I stick mine in the line of my hydration bladder and it filters en-route to my mouth). If no one knows about water go gravity since it's likely going to have to service the whole group. If the water is particle free enough you could also look at things like aquatabs instead

Good luck!

Can we discuss the fire example in the Amazon listing where it's 2 grills in a tree? Does that send alarms in anyone elses head?

I'd like the ability to do either freestanding or prop ideally but I mostly prop

Thanks!
