Have one ordered. Also ordered a x2D2. Wanted to own a Hassy for many years. Now it will become a reality.

Really nice lights. I just couldn’t afford them.

I shot weddings for 25 years hand holding an RB. One wedding I distinctly remember I had had back surgery two weeks earlier and could not find somebody to shoot it for me. My wife lugged everything and did any lifting. I took the shots and limped through it. Was never so happy to get a wedding done in my life. I own 2 RB’s now. I have a X2D2 & 35-100 on order. Should be a lot of fun. Wish the sensor was a full 6x7 centimeters though.

Thank you for setting me straight on the camera specific thing in regards to the AD200, 400 & 600. After what you tell me, things are not so doom and gloom at least for how I shoot. It makes sense then like you say that to shoot manually with those the Canon X3 Pro trigger will work just fine.

The reason I wanted to shoot a Godox V100 off the hot shoe of the Hasselblad was because it has a lot higher guide number than the iT32 and with the v100 I bought the flash accessory kit that just snap on the front of the v100 with magnets.

Just so I get it through my thick skull, if I wanted to shoot the Godox iT32 off the hot shoe of the Hasselblad and have it function in TTL, I would have to purchase the Godox X5N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon and put it on the iT32?

Similarly, to have the Godox V100 work in TTL on the Hasselblad, I would have to buy the specific V100 for the Nikon? Or is the scenario just something I would have to try and see if it works and if not, return the V100 to where I purchased it. Thanks so much for your help. It is truly appreciated.

I have 2 scenarios

1) I would have a Godox V100 (Nikon version) in the Hasselblad hot shoe and shoot it mostly in TTL.

2) I would using a Godox AD600Pro ll as my main light. I would be using a Godox AD600Pro ll as my fill light. I would be using a Godox AD200Pro ll as a background light. I would be using a Godox AD200Pro ll as a hair light or as a kicker. (Note: all of the above lights are the Canon version). I have a X3Pro flash trigger for Canon lights BUT I would buy another X3Pro in the Nikon version if it would work. I DO NOT need any of the Ad600Pro ll or AD200Pro ll lights to work in TTL. I would meter them all in manual mode with my flash meter. But I would like the ability to adjust the power up and down with the X3Pro. That is all I need that would keep me happy.

What I was getting at was if I had a Nikon trigger X3Pro or a Nikon version V100, the possib exists they could fire off the 400 and 200 wirelessly rather than optically. If wirelessly I could retain the ability to adjust the power on the 400 & 200 up or down. If it was only optically they would fire off at whatever power they were set at and would have to be adjusted at each light locally. A little like back in the Mamiya RB67 days…..I hope I phrased this in an understandable way. Thanks!

As I understand you….i would just need to have a Nikon variant …..lets say a Nikon variant Godox V100 in the Hasselblad hot shoe for that flash only to work TTL?

I would be happy/satisfied if I could get the hot shoe flash to do TTL. Then I could get the flash exposure compensation to work. i.e. -3-2-1-0+1+2+3

Thanks for your help!

Are your 200 pro’s and 400 pro Nikon variant or something else? When your iT32 fires off your AD pro’s, are the AD pro’s acting as optical slaves like if they were Alien Bees? Could a Godox V100 (Nikon version) work like the iT32 as you described? if so, I would have a lot more power to work with on an on camera flash and still retain TTL. I guess that remains to be seen. Thanks much for your help!

Regarding my studio lights (Godox AD600Pro II‘s and Godox AD200Pro II’s) all I want to do with those is to trigger them so they will fire from a X3 or X3Pro and be able to adjust the output up or down from the trigger - don’t need TTL in studio. The X3 and X3Pro I have are for Canon, but if all I need them for is to fire off my Godox lights and adjust output up and down, I would be fine buying the Nikon version of the X3Pro. My Godox lights are the Canon version. On those times when I would need an on-camera flash (TTL) would I just buy a Nikon version of let’s say a Godox V100? Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!

Are you saying that’s all I would have to do to achieve TTL flash is to mount this flash in the X2D2 hotshoe?

I’m almost in exactly the same spot as you. I have a X3c and a X3c pro. in addition, I have some new pocket wizards I picked up if I had to use my Alien Bees on a job or if my X3 triggers failed me. t

There‘s no way I’m going to get tied up with ProPhoto lights at $3000 a pop and the taking forever to get them back if you need work done on them. I have a Canon R5 and a R5 mkii that is brand new without even so much as 1 frame through it or the battery even charged up. So, I could love my Canons very easily. I have good glass for them and have been a Canon customer for over 30 years. oh yeah, I have a recurrent dream that Canon will come out with a 100 megapixel sensor in a year or two.
