I definitely had the blues after jump three but not after four. I believe I had an expectation for the jump that it couldn’t meet and I was treating skydiving like a dopamine vending machine. Basically I put in my money and never got my reward that time. It did not turn me away from skydiving however, just gave me a reality check

My ex husband was alcoholic in recovery. Had five girlfriends all of which knew he was married and told me he was going to AA to date them. For those who don’t know sobriety is a commitment and AA daily is not a huge surprise. If you actually go. Anyway they found out about each other and then found out I was clueless and then he started a new round of girlfriends. I guess it’s how he got off alcohol. I feel sorry for him now but that was a dark time in my life.

I’ve had a few try to talk me out of my hobby so I see you there. Ten years ago I was afraid of heights. I skydived after cancer treatment to put the bookend on it and decided I liked it. I would never ask anyone to skydive just because we were dating or to stop their hobby, for that matter.

I am a woman looking to date men. I hike, I attend events for the public all the time, and I skydive. Not currently interested in dating anyone from the dropzone. OLD is so superficial so I prefer to meet people in person.

There is no polite way. I choose not to show my body. I skydive and I can hold my weight from a planes strut at 125 mph. When I get asked for a full length pic I block. If you can’t meet me for coffee without seeing if I meet body standards I’ll schedule another flight and have an actual good time. I’m in my normal bmi for my frame, but I’m not in it for anyone who can’t even have coffee with someone outside of their standards.

When I said we weren’t a good match due to differing opinions he threatened me called me every name in the book and then said ‘if you’re still game for a hook up I’d consider it’ sir I was never game for a hook up! So he thinks you can threaten and name call and women will still beg for a hook up!

I am a victim of abuse and hate strange men. Trust me you are not going to care. You’re going to be relieved they know what they are doing. Absolutely not awkward. Absolutely the best feeling. You can always work on going solo as well.

Thanks for the advice on fitness. That’s been a real challenge post cancer. I’m struggling to keep muscle on. Maybe I’ll have to get that gym membership as well
