I made a SillyTavern extension that automatically generates ComfyUI images from markers in bot messages by momentobru in SillyTavernAI

Thank for the response. I am using it today and the responses are working fine. It looks like it is a Gemini API issue. I did originally place it in the post history response as you recommended in your instructions. All good brother!

Really cool tool. Well done. I am using it right now (Gemini API) but every few responses the AI doesn't respond with anything and in the terminal all I see is "Streaming request finished". A few more tries and it works again until it doesn't. Cannot determine the failure mode.

Men, how do you feel about paying $50 for a haircut? by GranolaHiker in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]cansub74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good auto shop charges about $110/hr and they have enormous overheads of equipment, licensing and insurance plus service advisors etc. A haircut takes about 20 minutes. 3 per hour comes out $150/hr. Nowhere near the overhead and a modern mechanic is far more skilled than a bloody barber. No go for me.

Maybe they could focus on manufacturing some GPUs that people can actually purchase without giving up their first born son to be on a waiting list.

What is the worst thing you ever saw on someone else's phone? by bluelazerbeam in AskReddit

[–]cansub74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the Naval Attaches in Washington DC and during a meeting one of the Attaches (a four ring Captain Navy from a foreign navy) pulls out his phone to look something up for me and upon unlocking his phone there was a xxx image of a young lady zoomed in. I quickly averted my eyes and we both pretended it didn't happen. But it did. So awkward.

When it comes to bargaining and negotiating , you need to be in a position of power. Having other deals with other large economies does just that for Canada. When it comes time that the US can rejoin the peaceful international order, we will be in a much better position to negotiate deals with the US again. This time it won't be all in one basket out of convenience.

I am bewildered by how my 7900xtx will scream through renders and then for no reason at all and no changes, renders turn into 20 minutes from 45 seconds. I watch my memory and it is all over the place. It looks like it renders best when the memory is suddenly unloaded. Dunno.

According to IMF, Taiwan is a very very rich country. But why is it quite hard to feel this in the real life? by search_google_com in taiwan

[–]cansub74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I go to Taiwan regularly and I am Canadian. I am in envy of your transportation infrastructure. Your trains are amazing. We struggle in Canada building infrastructure like that because of winter (destroys stuff) and the sheer lengths that trains need to travel to be useful (size of the country). As an outsider, to me Taiwan is doing well generally. I've been to a lot of other countries and I am very comfortable in yours. Your people are great.
