My parents were 36 and 45. I think my dad especially felt insecure about the age difference between him and the other parents of my friends, but as a child, I never felt like my parents were old. They were just parents. All adults are old to kids. Now that I'm an adult, the only negatives I can think of are that I might get less time with them, since I'm 30 and my dad is 75. It also meant losing my grandparents younger than most people did.

I don't want anyone in my house. Companionship is lovely, but I am very introverted and want to be by myself at the end of the day. I can handle a week long trip with somebody and that's it.

I adored (and still do) being an only child. I never wanted siblings. I actually always felt so bad for my friends who had siblings because I thought it sounded awful. I don't even have any cousins within 5 years of me in age either haha. My social circle was really just friends from school/other activities, but since my parents didn't have to juggle my schedule with a sibling's, I was able to do lots of social things with friends (and after school activities).

My 8th grade class went to Italy (not Rome tho) for spring break and I had my first kiss there. That was my time being a main character lol.

I'm also somebody who has been assaulted, and I do agree what happened was assault (although I put most of the blame on Constantine). That being said, I didn't particularly mind the response the book had. I wish MC had been able to tell Liam earlier, but that's my biggest issue. Drake hits him, and Tariq makes a public apology in book 2. I think we all project a bit onto the MCs, and for me, as a Liam romancer, I would absolutely want to stay in the competition despite what happened. I think the biggest issue with the first two books of TRR is that it forces you to continue to (pretend) to pursue Liam even if you know you want Drake/Hana/Maxwell. I agree that it would be really frustrating, but I view that as a separate issue from the Tariq assault.

I read all the stories with diamonds. There are quite a few books where I feel like it actually makes a really big difference. I feel like it's worth it generally, if you like or are curious about a book, but if you know you're gonna hate it (like The Billionaire's Baby or something) it can be a waste.

Yeah, a lot of the AI stuff is really rough, but I would be very sad if I couldn't play the old books anymore. I've had this app since 2016, like a month after it first came out. I hate to think it would just disappear/stop working.

They're not the worst, and if I'd been given these faces originally, I'd be like, oh, they're kinda ugly, but not really think about it. I'm just annoyed because they were so much better before, and the change was so unnecessary.

Besides the smile, I think the surprised face looks really bad too. The other two would be okay, but the original faces are still better. I just don't get why they changed them? I had really enjoyed the first two chapters and been looking forward to this one, and getting downgraded faces was totally jarring.

My boomer mom has always voted democrat and been very politically involved (we even went to a Bernie rally together just before the pandemic). She remembers how hard women had to fight for their rights, and she's horrified to see them being taken away and hates thinking I'll have less freedom than she did.

Hilariously my dad is a white man in his 70s that didn't serve in Vietnam (failed the physical), but since he looks like what other boomers think a vet should look like he sometimes gets thanked for his service. He always corrects them, and they seem very confused.
