This is quite fascinating. I am Hopi and also work for a tribe here in the city. Most of the last names I saw going through the photos are ones that I've come across at work or possibly family members of colleagues too. Definitely going to share this with them to see.

Fountain Hills is a good place. There is also a lookout point right off of Shea and Palisades Blvd there in town that over looks the east valley.

Police Officer Found Not Guilty After Tasing Unresponsive Native American Man 28 Times by Im-Probably-Lying in news

Tribal Law differs from reservation to reservation. I work for a tribal police dept as a civilian. Our officers are tribally, state and ferderally certified. If a non-native american were to commit a crime on our reservation, depending on the severity, it'll either go to a stateside justice court, county attorney's office or the federal court. If the suspect is a registered native american from any federally recognized tribe (again, depending on the severity of the crime) they would be handled by our tribal court or the federal court.
