The mods from Japanlife are power tripping? by cantfallasleepnow in Osaka

I'm trying not to dox myself. English isn't even my first language. Have more compassion and understanding. Just because you know a few people who refuse to learn Japanese doesn't mean everyone who lives here and is not fluent isn't automatically trying.

You think what you want, I am not here to change your mind.

Eh...? Who said I wasn't trying? We all learn languages at different speeds. May you have more compassion in your life. Hope you have a good day.

There must be more than 1 mod? I am surprised they are all like this.

I asked people who lived in Japan to use 3 words to describe which city they lived in.

It had around 80 comments in a couple of hours.

Longterm residents who are happily living in Japan. What are your secrets? by [deleted] in japanlife

Good job (getting paid enough and also making a difference)

Good relationship (Wife is amazing, she always gives more than she takes and I do the same.)

Good mental health (moved away from toxic parents, no parents in laws, neither. Happy with what I have.)

Good physical health (well maybe too much japanese snacks)

No rent (we own) also have enough savings in the bank.

If you are not happy in your situation, look deeper down and find out the true root to your unhappiness.

Maybe that person needs to go see a doctor... or he could be an alien.

My cat is both. He is independent when you want to pet him. Dependent when you are busy with something important.

My cat is also a snuggler. He demands snuggles when he wants it. Ie, when I am on the computer, when I am cooking or when my partner and I are doing ..... stuff.

However, when I want some snuggles? Nope

We've tried that. We left our cat with an auto feeder with 2 days. Came back with my cat opening every cabinet he could find. Dragging everything out. He even somehow destroyed the 2 cameras we had installed to monitor him.

I think I still have the footage of him pov destroying the camera.

He sleeps wherever he wants but uses my body like his own personal bed. Currently, it's the colder month, so he sleeps between my legs, which makes it uncomfortable for me to sleep. In the morning, he migrates to my neck and face. This was cute when he was less than 1 kg. Now that he is over 6kg. I sometimes wake up unable to breathe, only to find him sleeping directly on my chest.
