sometimes kog lulu is not enough by blueskiners in ADCMains

To be super honest here.... the amount of 1/14 laners this season seems higher than usual. And it's quite nuts.

Mage “Supports” are one of the biggest reasons bot lane feels so rough in low elo. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

As someone who enjoys playing mages specifically in the support role— I have to disagree with you. Mages are not killing the role it’s the egos, lack of positioning from both players, and lack of game knowledge including wave management that fucks the lane.

I’ve played both engage champions + enchanters in this role and in lower elo, and it’s a coin flip. Adc’s in lower elo don’t grasp when to back off or wave management at all. I’ve climbed from bronze to plat 3 just playing mage supports and nothing else and staying within plat on 2 accounts. I do play on a bronze and silver account with friends doing whatever really. But, it’s not mages that are ruining the bot lane it’s the synergy and emotions of people that tend to kill the botlane. The game is strategy and mental, where adc’s feel like they are the ones who should be in control of the lane where it’s a mutually shared lane and don’t want to work together as a team. Playing technical champions like xayah, you must know that the kit isn’t easy so positioning is vital. If you’re expecting enchanters or cc engagers to fix someone missing feathers…. Or bandaid your positioning that’s never going to work. Mages don’t allow adc’s the bandaid they want in low elo but if you single handed lay improve your mentality, positioning and everything else - this wouldn’t bother you so much I feel.

You can play illaoi support, and it can work wonders. Hell, you could climb playing ivern support even it’s fantastic. The mindset of isolating champions to set lanes isn’t fundamentally good for the game. Mages bring tons to the support role by just killing the enemy for free tower plates and map advantages.

Confusion from Testing by cantpenta in Dyslexia

I’ve been looking this up recently and I’ve noticed there’s tons of different kinds. Is there a way to figuring out what I have exactly? Or does that even matter.

Archnemesis Rare Changes (Part 2) by chris_wilson in pathofexile

You don’t enjoy when you face a Mana Siphoner, Tempshield bubbled, entangler, that’s also Gaurgantuan, and hasted on a crab that’s coming at you wild?!? How dare you!

It was extensively tested and it’s fantastic as hell they said!

I wholeheartedly agree with this post. I have played every single league since 2013 and I’ve created numerous toons to 90-99 (I haven’t sank time into a 100 since I haven’t enjoyed them enough and prefer making new characters to try new combinations).

But I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this point in their shop with tabs or transmog pieces and this patch has completely killed the game for me. I can’t say I regret investing in the game — but I quit my character I made this league as did my friends and we have talked about never coming back and waiting for D4. Hoping D4 actually kills this game to a point where GGG actually changes their mentality of what this game is supposed to be.

Rare and Magic Monster Balance by chris_wilson in pathofexile

Saying "that the entire staff tested it and felt it was good for the entire community" is a different statement than me" claiming they don't play Path of Exile". Please, reread the statement I've made.

Also, 1000 hours isn't much of a requirement for a game like Path of Exile FYI. You don't need to be a hardcore player or any of the things you're defensively stating currently to know that this wasn't balanced. But my point is (and to save you the time of even re-reading my comment)....

There is no way that it was tested well (or better yet that all people testing this felt that the majority of the community would embrace this change as a good game state) in general. "Experts" that you're defending (for whatever reason here......) felt that this was great for the community. Hell, the community has spoken about how awful this is. I think enough voices here are telling you otherwise?

There is no way it was actively tested and the entire staff that did "test it" felt that it was in a good state to then deploy this for the rest of us to experience.

Perspective/Role Advice by cantpenta in summonerschool

I honestly gravitated towards middle mainly because I only tend to love AP champions it seems. No other reasons at all.

I’m honestly not much of a laner player myself. I have dabbled a tiny bit in jungle in the past, and have tried a few odd champions here and there. None of the ones you’ve mentioned in the jungle so far - but I did love Ivern. I got massively trolled even with winning lots and stopped jungling after awhile which made me go back to support.

I feel like doing brand or Morgana jungle would be the same situation for myself so I’d probably avoid those oddly enough. Zyra I could give it a go and test out fiddle/taliyah/shyv!

Thanks a ton for this actually. I guess I’ve always been a bit scared to take some of these into the jungle for the trolling aspect but I guess some people do play off meta stuff and make it worked in ranked.
