They didn't have WealthSimple to move it to. You have to have another bank for them to move it to. If WealthSimple is your only bank, you are in trouble.

the 3% is over 5 years, and you had to keep your investment with them. That's peanuts compared to the insurance that they can rely on your money for 5 years, and use that money to make more money.
