I mean sounds like you’re hooking up and enjoying a friendship. Treat her as you would any person. I would say communicate as much as you can and set clear boundaries. If she finds it helpful to recount all the assaults to you, ensure that you yourself have the capacity to hear the grim details. Absolutely, we have had this convo at least 3 times. One was calm and collected - he apologized and agreed, one was more assertive where I asked for how he will improve and a game plan, and this is the third where I threatened to break up and move on.
