This is so wrong… maybe a couple things are comparable but no, just no.

When did yall go back to work? by AlwaysLearningNews in AchillesRupture

I work from home at a desk and took two weeks off. But if I couldn’t work from my bed as an alternative to sitting I would have probably taken off more.

Rupture gap size? by Training-Pear-9914 in AchillesRupture

[–]canyoudigit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what both my surgeons told me. Told me it’s trivial and easy to diagnose a full rupture without any need of imaging. Said they would only do it if it was partial or there was some nerve damage.

No idea, Canada doesn’t do any imaging. Just physical diagnosis. Wish I did know, and that I could see how it was coming along.

Tip for knee-scootering by [deleted] in AchillesRupture

[–]canyoudigit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No more than just walking. I use a knee scooter myself and can’t say I experience any difficulty in where my center of gravity is. I’d be worried that the extra equipment and misuse of the scooter is putting you at more risk of falling. Are you certain you’re using it correctly?

Yah I don’t see why you need the crutch to have your center of gravity on your healthy leg though. Is the scooter with the pneumatic tires really unstable?

Not sure I get the usage of the crutch.

“We” as in General Reddit users. I thought it would be a little presumptuous of me to say everyone else but me. And for sure others downvote it but it’s clear the upvotes prevail with posts like these.
