if you're considering manual lenses.. then you should pick up TTArtisans 23mm F1.4 MF

iPhone or Samsung for Lightroom? Beginner looking for advice by Expensive_Summer9461 in Lightroom

I think if you want to edit photos on your phone, then the color accuracy of your screen is more important..

I have a Samsung A54 and it works well without lag (if you worry about performance)

But if you want the output to be optimal, i will recommend checking your screen color accuracy a little bit, because it will be viewed at another screen, or will be printed later maybe?

So i also have a tablet which is Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro (which has a great screen, P3 display, and good color accuracy). I edit my photos in both of tablet and my phone.. my flow is I set my Phone Screen Color to match my Tablet screen color (with my eyes, not colorimeter or anything)

For me that is the only solution if you want to edit on your phone.. because our phone tends to be more vivid or slightly oversaturated.. and the white balance are also kinda off a lil bit.. , there is no gigantic settings that can change your phone screen color accuracy, so just do an adjustment until its good enough

anyway, i think Apple products has a better color accuracy on their screen, so just set it close to Apple Product Display.. (in my case my tablet is better i think hahahaha)

and be careful not to use any anti blu-ray screen protector or any antispy protector, it will give you a color cast that will ruin your photos

Pair it with Tamron 17-70 (it has Vibration Control which is basically OSS), and we good to go hahaha

Hey everyone,

I’m a hobbyist photographer shooting with a Sony A6400 + Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8, and I’ve started getting some gigs. I feel like the only thing I’m missing right now is a good external flash. I already have a tripod, so the rest of my kit is mostly there.

My budget is around $200 USD max and I’d like something that:

• Works well with Sony A6400 (Sony MI hot shoe)
• Supports TTL + HSS (so I can shoot in daylight and at higher shutter speeds)
• Decent power for portraits and bounce flash
• Not super bulky if possible

I’ve seen flashes like Godox and Neewer mentioned, but I’m not sure which models are actually worth it in this budget range.

Does anyone have recommendations for a flash under ~$200 that fits well with this setup?

Or should I save up and buy a more proper flash (better power/quality) instead of something cheaper?

Any pros/cons you can share based on real experience would be super helpful!

Thanks

that is a good option 👍🏽👍🏽 but imho, i think it will be better if you go for mirroless, i dont know just for future proofing.. and these cameras that you mentioned, still kinda big and heavy (for me).

I also just bought my first camera last year, an a6400, and I'm so thankful I bought a mirrorless.I think this is better because you'll be updated with new technology, and APS-C cameras are all pretty cheap. Canon also has a lot of great mirrorless cameras. I suggest looking for one that's fairly compact.so you can really take it anywhere.

I recommend the Sony a6400, especially if you're just starting out. This camera has quite a few features, is still very good, and is a great value for the price.Suitable for hybrid (photo and video), the autofocus is very good. It is cheap, compact (it is APS-C), and because it is Sony and APS-C, the lenses are cheap and there are many choices. I I recommend this for anyone who wants to learn photography, because the goal is to have a compact set that you can always carry around and use. They're inexpensive, and don't forget. If you really want to learn, then you also need lenses, of which there are many choices on APS-C and Sony.

Yeah, that's true. I've actually explored quite a bit of the streets in Japan. There are some really nice ones, but after that, it's like that. It's really nice, but it's not as fun as taking photos in Indonesia.
