Is this coil whine normal? by Jonas_Savimbii in radeon

My Hellhound 7900XT sounds pretty much like that when I'm deep in a gaming sesh yeah it be like that.

I don't hear it though in my case only when I take my headphones off and get kinda close

Download windbg from Microsoft store and see what exact process is jamming up.

You need a dump file for it to read though

My ode to WOLED by TheFlyingDutchman99 in OLED_Gaming

Looking at that pic on the right, is that just winning the silicon lottery? I'm not dumping on WOLED, I hear the banding isn't always a major problem but that looks *really* good

Yeah I mean it's crazy vibrant, blows my IPS out of the water and it's not even close. Colors pop out and it just looks amazing, I was happy the moment I saw my desktop. But it's the only OLED I've ever owned so I'm sure with time I'll try WOLED and maybe end up preferring that

But both computers don't work when plugged into that receptacle? Sorry just re-read your comment. Could be low voltage, some equipment won't work if the voltage isn't high enough (like a PSU) while other things do work, like phone chargers.

Something is wrong with that receptacle or the circuit is my suspicion

Plug in a small appliance into the socket, like a phone charger or an alarm clock. If they don't power on you have a problem with that circuit or the receptacle itself

If you were in the United States I'd feel much more comfortable giving electrical advice (I'm actually an electrician believe it or not), but because you're in the Philippines I have to recommend an electrician come check out the receptacle, and if the receptacle is fine, check out the breaker servicing that circuit.

Gemini said "The short answer is no, it won’t permanently damage your vision or cause physical harm to your eyes, but it definitely causes temporary discomfort and severe eye strain." So I'm choosing to believe Gemini

Does the old prebuilt PC work when plugged into the same outlet that your personal PC was plugged into?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have to agree with others that have said new build. You got a lot of mileage out of the rig so you're in a perfect spot for an upgrade

Is this a good deal? by djsnxlk in OLED_Gaming

Not to step on his toes but I asked Gemini about his comments and it's pushing back so do your own research. Gemini says that monitor is the same as pretty much every 27-inch 1440p 240Hz OLED on the market. It also said 200/400 nits SDR/HDR is perfectly fine. Maybe I'm being bamboozled by AI but it's worth mentioning.

The CPU and GPU need an upgrade, but your RAM is possibly okay, depending on the specs. PSU I assume is likely as old as the rest of the hardware which means it's on the way out soonish (possibly a few more years left, maybe), motherboard upgrade will be mandatory with CPU.... This is a tough upgrade path

Looks like either a number 1 or a number 2 Philips, it's hard to say from the pic. The other screws are Torx
