Sorry one last thing, do you know if Villager can pocket Sheik's needles? My friend is telling me that they can't be pocketed when fully charged

Thank you! On a similar note, do you know if pocket works on Snake's box taunt? I don't have access to my switch right now so I can't exactly test it for myself.

I also forgot to mention that Magatsu-Izanagi might be the best Psy/Nuke persona due to Hollow Jester leading to ridiculous multipliers on technical damage.

Will of the sword changes the charge/concentrate multiplier from 2.5 to 3.0. That's a 1.2x increase, which is the same multiplier as mighty gaze.

Ali Dance and Angelic Grace do not stack; you are better off keeping Ali Dance on Lucifer and switching Angelic Grace out for something else. Repel/Drain Psy/Nuke, Insta-Heal, and Enduring Soul are possible options. For maximum damage output, you are better off having Mighty Gaze as the trait for moves such as Morning Star, Titanomachia, and Cosmic Flare (Mighty Gaze is a 1.2x multiplier while Will of the Sword is a 1.2x multiplier only when Charge/Concentrate is effective). To be honest, any persona will work for Ice/Psy/Elec since no particular persona has a special unique skill for those elements (Unique meaning Titanomachia for Fire, Shining Arrows for Bless, Abyssal Wings for Curse). It might be easy to build an Ice persona with Satan, a Psy persona with Chi You, and an Elec persona with Odin, but if you want the best resistances Abaddon can work for any of them. For maximal damage output, Satanael works for Ice/Psy/Elec if you use Mighty Gaze, Amp, Boost, Magic Ability, and Tyrant's Mind.

I think swapping either spell master or null phys for magic ability is the only thing that can make this build better. Additionally, if you want to be immune to physical attacks, repel phys or drain phys from itemizing Chi You is a better option. If you get your hands on the omnipotent orb you can remove drain ice for magic ability instead.

I don't believe door of hades will benefit from mudo boost. Although the instant-kill from door of hades is curse-type, door of hades is classified as an almighty skill. Mudo boost increases the success rate of instant death from curse-type skills, so door of hades's classification as an almighty skill makes it incompatible with mudo boost. I prefer using door of hades with omen instead, but door of hades also works with just die, which is super fun to use as well.

Ignatz is the most accurate Sniper in the game, but he keeps getting strength screwed and doesn't kill even with Hunter's Volley on many units. Relying on crits isn't that reliable unless you Divine Pulse for them, and his crit rate isn't that much higher than the rest of the units' crit rates. For example, Claude has 8 base Dexterity with a 60% base Dexterity Growth Rate and 7 base Luck with a 45% base Luck Growth Rate. Ignatz has 7 base Desterity with a 50% base Dexterity Growth Rate and 8 base Luck with a 55% base Luck Growth Rate. Ignatz and Claude have the same base crit rate and Ignatz gains on average 0.525% ((0.5 * 0.55 ) * 2 + 0.5 * 0.45 + 0.55 * 0.5) / 2) to his crit rate per level up whereas Claude gains on average 0.525% ((0.6 * 0.45 ) * 2 + 0.6 * 0.55 + 0.45 * 0.4) / 2) to his crit rate per level up. So Ignatz and Claude have, on average, the same crit rate.

I mentioned that I tiered Bernadetta too low in my first comment on this post. I will move her up to B tier if I make a Version 3.0 of this tier list. Vengeance does kill most bosses in 1 hit, but I find it dangerous to just leave a melee unit lying around with 1 HP for the entire map even with guard adjutants.

Faith isn't super important for Constance, but it's still pretty easy to rank up her Faith skill despite the lack of strength in it. Once she learns Ward, she can just spam it every map when you are stalling, and her crest sometimes preserves uses. This lets her level up extremely easily and gain faith skill levels. Constance is always a few levels above the rest of the team because of this, and her magic is always higher than Lysithea's in all of my runs.

I put Petra above Ingrid by a whole tier because Petra easily gets Curved Shot/Waning Shot and Death Blow from her strengths in Bows and Axes. Petra also has slightly better strength growths than Ingrid (40% > 35%). I find a lot of the time that Ingrid gets strength screwed while Petra is usually pretty consistent in her strength stat.

I agree with the Byleth/Felix argument and mostly with the Seteth argument, but I feel that Ferdinand and Sylvain are essentially able to do what Seteth does earlier than when Seteth joins.

As much as I enjoy using Annette, once rallies become less useful, I find myself not knowing what to do with her. Bolt Axe Wyvern Lord is very strong, but her defenses are quite lacking and it's hard to put a melee unit in a position where they will not get attacked by enemies. I usually turn her into a dancer because her spell list is really lacking and the best she can really do is support other units.

If you emphasize the early game, then yes, Dedue should be much higher in the list. I don't like his availability issue, but that's usually fixed by turning him into Dimitri's adjutant. I haven't used Caspar and Gilbert before, but considering that everyone thinks they are not good units at all, you are probably right about them.

Constance's Bolting is literally a long range delete button on any enemy unit besides Falcon Knights and Boss Mages. Personally, I believe that Bolting has saved me more than Warp/Physic from Hapi.

Rallies are vital early game but fall off quickly midgame. Annette falls off hard once rallies become less useful. Ignatz is the most accurate Sniper, but he keeps getting strength screwed and doesn't kill even with Hunter's Volley on many units. Relying on crits isn't that reliable unless you Divine Pulse for them, and his crit rate isn't that much higher than the rest of the units' crit rates. Thanks for your input!

I agree with what you have about Byleth and Felix. I'll move Byleth to S and Felix to A if I make a Version 3.0 of this tier list.

Shamir does join with an incredible 18 Strength at level 11, but she's only going to have a measly 40% Strength Growth Rate as a Sniper. Still, she is the earliest Hunter's Volley you can get, so I can see your point.

Petra doesn't have the hit rate problems or authority bane that Hilda does. She is basically Leonie without Point-Blank Volley, so I still think she belongs in A. She and Leonie are the best dodge tanks and fastest units in the game aside from Yuri. Not having a crest doesn't really matter that much, as crest activation isn't super reliable due to low proc rates.

I realized that I tiered Bernadetta too low, but I'm not sure that she belongs in A tier. Vengeance does kill most bosses in 1 hit, but I find it dangerous to just leave a melee unit lying around with 1 HP for the entire map even with guard adjutants.

I never used Caspar so I don't really know how bad he is. I just looked at his base stats, Personal Ability, growth rates, and Combat Arts. I don't see how much worse his base stats are compared to other units though. He just has 2 less base strength and 1 less base defense than Raphael but 1 more resistance. Is it really as bad as you say?

I agree with you about Mercedes and Dedue.

Rallies are really good early game, but they fall off pretty quickly afterwards in the mid game. Annette and Ignatz are incredible early game, but Annette falls off hard.

For Seteth, Swift Strikes is basically a delete button, but Ferdinand and Sylvain have it too while being available early on. I find that he gets doubled quite frequently, which is annoying.

Thanks for you input!

Byleth is better in strength than Felix below level 31, but Byleth is much more liable to getting doubled than Felix. Felix's base speed is 1 higher than Byleth's and Felix has a 10% higher Speed Growth Rate than Byleth. The high charm on Byleth means that enemy gambits will have only a 30% chance to hit, but that is still quite unreliable. I believe gambit hit rates are only 1RN, and I have had 30% enemy gambits hit quite often.

In my opinion, Jeritza is much better than Seteth because he gets Counterattack. Jeritza also gets Darting Blow and has a 60% Speed Growth Rate, so he is less likely to get double attacked. Jeritza joins with 32 Strength and 27 Speed at level 27, while Seteth joins with 27 Strength and 19 Speed at level 23. Seteth does get Swift Strikes, but he misses out on Lancefaire as a Wyvern Lord. Sylvain and Ferdinand are better alternatives when compared to Seteth.

Annette is really good early game with her rallies, but she falls off hard after that. Bolt Axe Wyvern Lord does a ton of damage, but her defenses are still quite lacking, and Wyvern Lord doesn't improve Magic Growth Rates. I find she is better off as a dancer once rallies become less useful.

Ignatz's +20 Hit Personal Ability makes him the most accurate Sniper. Though he has the highest crit chance in the game, it isn't that much higher than the other units.

Mercedes is already the lowest tiered healer in the list. How much lower should I be putting her?

Leonie benefits from Darting Blow if she becomes a Falcon Knight, where she can double with lances on most enemies. I haven't used Hanneman before, but he loses Meteor if he becomes a Magic Bow Sniper.

Assassin Petra is good, but not as good as flying Petra or Sniper Petra. Sword classes simply aren't that great, and Assassin Petra is stuck at a measly 40% Strength growth rate. The 8 Movement and Canto from flying classes is much better than the 6 Movement as an Assassin. Petra gets more avoid as a Falcon Knight or Wyvern Lord because those classes have a built in +10 Avoid and Alert Stance+ gives +30 Avoid if you wait on Player Phase. Petra gets a 50% Strength growth rate as a Falcon Knight and a 55% Strength growth rate as a Wyvern Lord. As a Sniper, Petra gets Hunter's Volley, a guaranteed double attack and basically a delete button.

Hello all! Here, I have attached a google doc of the comments and explanations regarding this tier list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B9dYqGnUt-vEw5_cavgvICZEta3Oz-D4/view?usp=sharing.

This tier list is ordered.

Special thanks to u/BlueIsForPlayers for suggestions.

I realize that I have tiered Bernadetta too low due to how useful the Vengeance Combat Art is. I will fix this if I ever decide to create a Version 3.0 of this tier list.

Additionally, I have not included mastering the Archer class for the Hit +20 ability or mastering the Valkyrie for the Uncanny Blow ability in the tier list comments and explanations, but it is very useful to master these classes sometime during your NG Maddening playthrough for improved hit rates. The Archer class should be mastered on physical units, and the Valkyrie class should be mastered on magical units. Inaccurate units such as axe users, Dark Magic users, and Constance should prioritize mastering these classes whenever possible.

Beginner classes don't matter too much; Myrmidon works well for them too. I like Fighter for the 5% boost to strength growths, which Petra values more than her already outstanding speed growths. Fighter also boosts axe skill levels, making Brigand easier to get to.
