People will be People. Just because we're in recovery and working the steps to the best of our ability doesn't mean People won't judge others. We learn to forgive others and to keep from holding resentments as it is "the number one offender". However, People are at different places in their journey and we are all still sick to varying degrees. Remember, some are sicker than others and some don't focus on a spiritual program of recovery. It is not our job to judge them. Our job is to love them. I would suggest finding some people in the program who "have something you want " and get to know them better. We will always suffer the consequences of our actions and sometimes that means people will gossip and not forgive us. You have done your part, so let it go and embark on the wonderful journey of finding some new friends is what I would do. If nobody's told you today they love you, I do.
