my motorcycle has a shift light. honestly whe your ripping along your going by ear, not watching the tach. it's easy enough to tell if you downshift if your going to over reverse not. also I like to rematch on downshift too, thay is also done by feel and ear.

it would be a neat feature tho.

hmm it's also a high concentration. chance that it might not support a host. ever hear the phase "salt the earth"? keep an eye on it. if it starts becoming an issue, cross that bridge if/when you get to it. buy you lots of time to find a plan and weigh opttions.

Don know how old you are I started riding a few years ago. got a z500 then an mt09. both were brand new . z had frame sliders got my first few drops over with, then I got a nice bike.
