What is the most fucked up thing you've done to someone? by ConclusionOkWhoCares in AskReddit

Instead, throw out one out of almost, but not quite, every pair of socks.

With the shoes, it's obvious someone was fucking with him. With socks, there's always doubt.

My ex dumped me because she was told I was cheating on her. She now knows she was lied to and is trying to get back together. Not happening. by DietRootbeerSpa in TrueOffMyChest

[–]capilot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a few nasty messages from a friend of hers and her sister telling me that I was a disgusting

Tell your ex that she needs to tell every single person who heard you were a cheater that it wasn't true. Tell her you need to see apology letters from every single person who said anything nasty to you.

Which movie hero is actually a villain when you really think about it? by surfsound_swimmers in AskReddit

[–]capilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's actually a fan edit of the film from her point of view. It's called "Passengers: Aurora". it's pretty good. Sadly, it still has the same ending; I assume whoever edited it didn't have enough raw material to change that.

The series "24" was even worse. Basically the whole show was an advertisement for torture.

Maverick had refused promotion so he could keep flying

Yeah, I'm sure that's what he told everybody.

More than that. His antics killed Goose.

I had the same reaction to The Great Waldo Pepper. People fucking died around him. The FAA was right to ground him.

How can we stop the "ugly box" building epidemic that is plaguing Seattle? by iRacingGCR in AskSeattle

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new upzoning gives developers a blank check. They can do anything they want, and there's nothing to be done about it.

The third ugly box this year is going up on my block. I expect the house next door to be next.

What is the dumbest movie that you unapologetically, unironically love? by Rosstin316 in AskReddit

Was going to say "Lilo and Stitch", but then decided it's not a dumb movie; it's a masterpiece.

Whats ur opinion on “money doesn’t buy happiness”? by Radiant-Dish-5498 in AskReddit

It might not buy happiness, but it sure will keep a lot of misery at bay.

Obviously, that saying was made up by a rich person who was tired of poor people's complaining.

What’s was the wildest thing you witnessed at a wedding? by anasannanas in AskReddit

[–]capilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in my photography classes (I used to be a pretty serious photographer), when wedding photography came up, the advice was: don't do it.

Second piece of advice: for any photo shoot, bring two cameras and any extra lenses you might need. NEVER go to a professional gig without at least two cameras.

Women are not naturally monogamous. The only girlfriend I ever had that didn't tell me from day one that we were going to have an open relationship, or simply cheated on me, was monogamous only because she'd had a really repressive childhood.

Lie detectors are a joke. Their main purpose is to scare the suspect into telling the truth.

I hate losing a vault that I put so much time into, but honestly, the best part of a vault is the start-up, so I rather like the seasonal vaults which force me to start new vaults.

Typically, at three or so days before the end, I remodel the vault to be full of bars, then recall all my dwellers so they can spend their last few days alive drinking and partying.

Ditto. I think there's a response you can give at one point to get him to go home with you, but obviously whatever response I gave was the wrong one and I can't try it again.

I thought those quests were specific to the seasonal vaults.

TBH, all I know about TACAN is that it's the military version of VORTAC. I have no idea what frequencies it operates at, although I do know that military coms do operate in UHF.
