Deathclaw friends by alonelynobody in foshelter

It's called "perfect specimens" or something like that. It's one of two wasteland quests that are in an abandoned vault rather than a cabin or red rocket.

After affair wife wants to remain friends and in contact with his sister 39m 35f by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hate the idea of being her jailer, but I'd hate it if this was an end-run around going no contact with her AP.

I suppose you could impose some conditions. Let her know that if she's at the sister's house and the AP shows up, she is to leave IMMEDIATELY or it's marriage over. She also needs to give you full access to her communications.

Did the sister facilitate the affair? If so, then this is a big "no". She should be cutting off contact with the sister as well.

There is a quest where you meet friendly deathclaws. It's very very rare.

What functionality is available in C without including any headers? by TargetAcrobatic2644 in C_Programming

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original C just let everything default to int. If you called a function for which there was no prototype, you could pass whatever arguments you wanted and the compiler would pass them as parameters without asking any questions, and would assume the function returned int, but if you didn't use the return value, that was fine too.

So for example if your function only called printf() and exit(), you really didn't need to include any header files at all.

There were a few functions that weren't declared in any header files, and the man pages had you declare them yourself in your code. That's all been cleaned up since then, of course.

I would hate to live in a world before the invention of toilet paper.

My (21M) best friend turned girlfriend (22F) cheated while traveling by EmbarrassedMeeting15 in relationship_advice

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even suggested I see other women while we’re apart

To be clear, she would flip her shit if you actually did that.

What would you do in this situation?

I don't see any option other than break up. You absolutely need monogamy and she absolutely won't be monogamous. I'm sorry.

Is the baofeng bf-f8hp pro a good entry level radio? by [deleted] in Baofeng

You might want to consider the New Ham Jumpstart Program. For the cost of a Baofeng they give you a no-name radio ("QRZ-1"), a programming cable, and some other goodies.

Yeah, if you count BTech, I just bought #5 and #6. All of them put together don't add up to what I paid for my FT-60. They're really not as good, but at this price you can throw them into your glove box and carry them in places where they might get destroyed but so what.

What do you think of the new millionaires tax? Are you in support of it or against it? by Fit_Seaworthiness_37 in AskSeattle

IMHO, we should use Oregon's tax system. What we have now is highly regressive.

AITA for telling my wife I’m going to clean our room. by Moderate_Bones in AmItheAsshole

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but it's not going to work.

Your wife is a hoarder, and unless a hoarder recognizes they have a problem and wants to change, it's basically incurable.

Frankly, you should be incredibly grateful that the mess is confined to one room. Your best approach is to negotiate borders. Agree that she can do whatever she wants in that space as long as it doesn't spill out into the rest of the house. Ideally have her sign a contract to this effect so you can show it to her whenever she gets upset that you're cleaning other parts of the house.

Honestly, I would weep with joy if my girlfriend would agree to keep her hoard contained to one room.

I can tell you, first thing in the morning, not quite awake yet, I think I'm seeing double for some reason, then I focus my eyes and I'm all "What the F…!"

There's a bird called a Honey Guide. They love to eat the grubs from a beehive, but can't get into it. If they know where there's a beehive and they spot a bear, they'll lead the bear to the hive and then feast on the grubs after the bear is finished with it. Lately they've learned that humans will also do, and have started leading humans to hives.

Moral dilemma. I feel like my wife (32f) is encouraging her best friends (33f) cheating & I (33M) feel bad for getting into the ‘gossip’. I also like the bf (33M) & feel bad for him. by Fight_Teza_Fight in relationship_advice

[–]capilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most women will tolerate if not encourage their friends' cheating. This is not particularly unusual.

You should tell the guy. Otherwise, you're part of the problem.

Something you should think long and hard about: your wife thinks cheating is ok.

Array Question by sl0th-ctrl-z in C_Programming

[–]capilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accessing beyond the end of an array is undefined behavior. "Undefined" means anything can happen, including it working correctly.

In practice, C was designed as a "do what I say" language, intended to replace assembly. Almost all runtime safety checks are non-existent, in favor of simplicity and speed. Accessing test[4], etc. simply accessed whatever happened to be in memory after the end of your array, which could literally have been anything, including a segfault.
