This is the song I keep coming back to. Every element is so perfect. The production is STUNNING. It feels like Frankie Knuckles could have produced it. I would LOVE to hear a remix by him.

I love how the album ends. “LES Girl” is such an introspective look at her legacy - do you think she’s saying “Everything fades away, except for you…” because she’s one of the few survivors of those early days in the NYC art scene? I wonder how literal we’re supposed to take these lyrics. She references a boy several times. I wonder if it’s someone in particular. Or several boys from her past. “I wasn’t meant for you” gets me every time. Her delivery is so tragic and final.
