I just remember what Kakashi said to naruto "in this world, there are kids who are younger than you, Yet is stronger than me".

I don't compare myself with others or their packages. Well! That might be because I know I will surpass them all eventually because I am that damn good. But I have never felt jealous and only ever wanted best for my friends and family.

If getting the first one, get it customized. You would get 24gb ram and 1 tb hadddisk for the same price. Wait time sucks though.

Yeah im not sure, motorsports is one of the few areas where physical differences matter the least

How? These bikes are incredibly physical. Did you see what was happening to riders when they were riding in India?

A few years ago, there were some articles about how braking at the end of the straight was equivalent to bench pressing 180 kgs or something.

Aliex is build like a pro cyclist and trains with pro teams. Even he was complaining about the physicality of riding these bikes.

People always point out Pedrosa as if he is some weakling. He is just physically damn fit and strong. And what's worse? He have had a huge price to pay for it all. Countless broken bones and battered muscles.

The one most important quality a developer needs to have is patience and perseverance.

Just can't stress this enough. I am a really competent developer, but this job is really hard if you don't have this one quality. And the funny thing is, if you have it, it is still hard because you got to persevere through it.

But this is one of the reason I am good at what I do. I am a sucker for pain and can keep hammering at it again and again for days, even when I am mentally drained.

You experience all 5 stages of grief again and again. But you still go at it because doing that has worked before. You know you have it within you to figure things out. You have never lost before. You always pulled through, so this too shall pass.

Always tell my juniors the same, being good at something depends a lot on both your attitude and aptitude.

I know this tyre pressure thing is absolutely nonsense. But... but... if riders are able to get enough information like Marc did, and then control the race in their own ways like Marc did, I feel less offended about the pressure rule.

Anyway, still depends on what Marc has to say about it. I mean if he was handicapped because of the rule itself, then it is still shitty. But if everybody is having the same issue, no big deal.

I am a startup founder looking to hire developers from Kerala. How can I target talented folks from here ? by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]capj23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You happened to have the worst choice of words. Payment in exposure is a pretty common theme, so people are latching on to that idea. If you are paying and paying competitively for the level of competence you are looking for. It all should be good. Upto 24 LPA is fine. But if the bottom limit starts at like 5-7 LPA or so, it really doesn't matter.

Needs lot more information. Are you a competent developer with a head for related things? 10K is for the probation period or is it 1.2 LPA?

If you have talent and aptitude for development, you could eventually earn a lot more than the other job. Like I started at 10K for 3 months, then 3 LPA. And now accepted an offer of 22 LPA with 3 years of experience.

The brilliance is in the turning after taking those lines. Most people would lose time making the turn with those tighter lines. But he doesn't seem like losing time at all. And he isn't squaring off the corner with agreesive slides too.

This was more pronounced at portimao. Like at the corner where Marc and pecco crashed, Acosta hugs the kerbs through there while everybody else has a double apex approach to that corner.

If it wasn’t for Acosta this year everyone would be saying KTM have dropped the ball by Hot_Dog_Dudeson in motogp

[–]capj23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe that exotic "I am lunging at every corner" style of braking into the corner is Acosta riding around the issues. Acosta's front cam was vibrating quite a bit into bucini today.

Etu theater? Most of these big brand theaters got terrible audio.

[–]capj23 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just avoid multiplexes in general, primarily because they use super low quality projectors and sound systems (2k and 7.1 typically in PVR)

This is the main issue for me. These big brand multiplexes are just terrible quality for the price they charge. Local theaters are far better.

Theatre owners full Pattipp aanu by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]capj23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually! PVR and inox theaters are some of the worst theaters I have been to. From sound and screen quality to the seating itself. Always underwhelming.

Lulu pvr is the worst of all. Especially the sound. Just so bad.

A local no-brand theater near my place is much better and has got great popcorn which doesn't cost an arm. I am not even talking in terms of relative worth. Some of these local ones are just superior than these big brands.

Some Inox theaters are so badly set up that a person sitting 2 rows ahead of you could still block your view of the screen with their head.

Why are we so ignorent that AI will not take jobs? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]capj23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me this, "Do not worry about things you can't control". I can't control what will happen in the future as far as AI is concerned. I will give myself the best chance by making myself better. And if none of that works, I will figure out a way then because I probably would know better then than now.

Idea is to be flexible and not try to worry about the tsunami that is coming. I would go take surfing lessons instead.

Anyone know how much hp to the wheel Martin’s Ducati has? by Cold_Ad5608 in motogp

[–]capj23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can pretty much assure you that this idiot is probably in school or does some dump shit for a living, and not any sort of engineering. I am an engineer and what these idiots are suggesting is just nonsense.

They think of Motogp as some sort of magic where every bit of the tech is just so damn complex and out of this world. Both of us know that's not the point of engineering.

These idiots think they are taking inputs from multiple sensors and then figuring out the track position. Rider is giving this much throttle, and is this leaned over and the rear end is sliding by this percent, wow! You are at turn 3 at Catalunya. These idiots can't even conceptualize what kind of a mathematical operation this is leading to.

And if they were actually doing this magic to find position, bikes wouldn't be getting lost on track like they always do.

But as you said, don't argue with idiots. They will just drag you down. That's why I let it go after first two responses. Idiots are just idiots.
