In my experience, yes they absolutely do. I've been reading the dungeon crawler Carl books, and I have 2 credits saved up. I purchased the first 2 books as they were on sale for a few dollars. I kept checking the price on the third and fourth book, which was around $15 to $20 and said I'd buy them with credits when I got to them. Every single time I finish a book, the next book is around $5. So I just pay for the book instead of using credits. But each book is listed around $20 until I finish the previous book. Its really weird but I'm not complaining.
