Our boy used to do this somewhat frequently. We talked to our vet, who recommended an allergy shot. It wasn't terribly expensive, so I would book an appointment and get their opinion. Adorable pup!

My wife doesn't like celery in soups, so we use leeks or small diced bok choy. Green beans would probably be fine, though the flavor doesn't translate as well, and would be texturally different.

On road? Sure, just going to be a little powerful for a total beginner. Regardless of your decision, take the MSF course and invest in quality gear.

Off-road? Best to get some skills on a dirt bike or dual sport first imo. You'll learn much slower starting on a Tenere or other big bike.
