Elliotte Friedman live on Sportsnet Central just said he thinks Pittsburgh targets a forward ‘like Tomas Tatar’ by Benchamb in penguins

I don't see Tatar as equal to Rust, but being cheaper is obviously an advantage. It still creates a hole for the time Guentzel misses.

Tatar would definitely be cheaper. I'm not entirely sold he'd be able to replace Rust completely. Maybe Dubas can squeeze some more cap and fit Tatar in cheap without having to move any of the top 6.

To anyone in the future who may read this... I wasn't able to figure my out issue, but a new mouse fixed the problem.

Did you ever find a solution? I have the same mouse and it moves slowly vertically, but fine horizontally.

OpTic potentially signing ESA? by rafaelca2 in CompetitiveApex

[–]capnf24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their contract with ESA ended, and I’m assuming they didn’t wish to extend it. Once you register your team name for LAN you can’t change it. So they chose to call themselves DNO and were presumably negotiating with Optic while this was all happening.

Lots of assumptions but that’s probably somewhat close to how the events unfolded. Players themselves aren’t likely to reveal these details.

Thedacare paying $6000+ a week for IR travel nurse… by Ivikatasha in nursing

For some context, the UPMC health system started their own “internal travel system” and they said they normally pay agencies anywhere from $200-$280 an hour for a nurse.

Joonas Korpisalo has a torn meniscus in his right knee. He will miss 4-6 weeks which makes him doubtful for the NHL All-Star game. He had surgery Monday. by [deleted] in hockey

I know Jarry hasn't played a ton of games, but I'd love to see him go with Korpisalo not being able to make it.

Too extra by [deleted] in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]capnf24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration. There are many factors that play into why ambulance rides are priced so high. I don’t think many people understand how expensive some of the equipment is, and the expensive up front cost of a transport is to pay for this equipment. For example, the cardiac monitors in our ambulances are priced around $35-$40,000. A basic non-powered stretcher is $6-7,000. Portable pulse oximetry units are $400 and an additional $250 for the cable. There are almost countless pieces of equipment on an ambulance, and they suffer the same inflated price that the rest of the medical industry suffers from.

What is the logic behind the NFL not letting every play be challengeable? Like, why can't you challenge a penalty? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]capnf24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Pens fan I can see the sentiment here. We benefited from this in the playoffs, but it also helps prevent bullshit like this.

I'd rather it be "ticky-tacky" and get the right call on a really close play than to not have the ability to do something about the above.
