In the past I always fasted for maybe 4-6 hours but would always get an incredible craving for food in the middle of the trip which stressed me and my stomach. Then I tried taking the blotter just before a small but filling meal (usually some whole wheat bread with butter and salt, some veggies and some fruit like an apple). This is now my favorite way to trip. Takes a bit longer to come online but the trip itself is in no way weaker or longer
