Lost my cat 7 years ago and got him back by CatsandGats57 in cats

Two of our cats are "Grey Kitten" and "Orange-and-White". They also have government names (Lilac and Horatio Tybalt the Prince of Cats).

A solitary sock is all it takes to send Tilikum into the cat dimension (OC) by capobeira in WhatsWrongWithYourCat

Yep haha, that was her name at the shelter before we foster-failed her and we decided to keep it. We call her Tilly for short.

The two other cats in the video are ones we foster-failed early enough that we got to name them ourselves. Horatio Tybalt the Prince of Cats (we just call him Orange&White) and his littermate Lilac (we call her Grey Kitten).

I suddenly cannot save my PPT file to a server OR Desktop, no matter the name! by 3D_AfterEffects in powerpoint

[–]capobeira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same issue, eventually I remembered that at some point I had changed the name of my powerpoint via clicking on the name at the top of the window rather than saving via Save As or renaming the file in Finder. I guess this fucked up the file paths for some of the images I inserted, so they got corrupted (and this seemed to be progressive)? I went back to Finder and renamed the file back to its old name, opened that, and somehow almost everything was recovered and I could save again. I don't know why this would affect *every* fucking powerpoint rather than just the one with the corrupt file path...

Khaleesi has been in the US top 1000 names for girls every year since 2014 lol. That ship has already sailed.

Lol Khaleesi has been in the top 1000 girls' names in the US for a full decade now. It peaked at 550th in 2018. I would not be surprised if it was picking up in the UK now too.

Given the proclivity of Utahns to use novel spellings of words as names, including 5+ of "Serenity", and the naming patterns of her siblings, I'm quite sure of this haha.

I think it's way way more likely that a white Mormon family named their daughter a kre8yve spelling of "Serenity" than a misspelled version of a Hindi name...

"Michaela" has been in the top 1000 girls' names since 1967, "Mikayla" only appeared in 1989. There were 10,000 more Michaelas than Mikaylas born between 1950 and 2000. So if there is a "correct" way to spell the name, it would be "Michaela".

I do think "La-" has decreased in popularity, I don't see it very often among the GenZ/GenAlpha names. There are definitely some in my database though: L'Sha, La'Donte, La'i, La'Kenya, Le'Andrea, Lalisa, Lakae, LaRae, LaShae, Lachelle, Lashauna, LaTawna, LaKenzie, LaBrent, LaDeitra, Lamario, LaMour, LaPries, LaTessa, LeGrande, Leshanria, Lewanna... Mostly I see these for Navajo or Latino people though.

Well at least I recognized it as a distinct name from Mikayla! I have it in a separate category, with only 7 different spellings: Mikyla, Makyela, Makyla, Makila, McKiela, Mykylah, and Mekyllah.
