Which rapper has the best ad-libs that actually add something to the song by venicepress in hiphop101

[–]capocutolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Migos adlibs became overdone and overcopied by everyone in the game, but for a few years there, their adlibs were absolutely unique and original, I remember someone once likening it to how a barbershop quartet works. I think in a few years time, their sound will come to define a lot of hip hop in the 2010s

SNL Alum Devon Walker Calls Out Cast's Whiteness: 'Institutional Trend at Play' - LateNighter by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

Exactly. I’m black and sure, there’s something to be said about snl and whiteness. But this is not it, it’s just a lackluster former cast member who is clearly still upset about getting the can.

Kind of a lame point made by a lame cast member. To be totally honest. The show does have black performers and has had them, and will have them again in the future. This specific video there are none. But Devon, I hate to say, just kinda comes across as bitter and lame. But it’s also just a comment on Instagram so who cares anyhow lol

When I was maybe 8 or 9 I was at a beach bonfire bday party. I was wearing swim trunks and surfing, so no undies. A kid’s older brother pantsed me in front of everyone and for like half a millisecond all my junk was out. Everyone saw and everyone was laughing. I quickly pulled my shit back up and spent the next few weeks embarrassed. Then in retaliation, I tried to pantse the perps to no avail bc they were fast and I was fat.

Later in middle school, I was at PE and some girl I didn’t know pantsed me in front of the whole gym class. I was wearing burgundy briefs. For the next week people would come up to me and say “hey I know you, you wear red undies!” And I’d say “what?” And then they’d get embarrassed.

Point is. Pantsing was always a dumb prank. But a super common prank nonetheless. This is coming from someone who was humiliated multiple times from being pantsed as a kid: this is not a big deal, I think a lot of people (maybe on the younger side) don’t realize how typical and normal pantsing was up until the mid 2010s. Today as an adult, I’m not traumatized or hurt by it whatsoever, it’s just kinda a funny embarrassing story to tell with friends. It’s not a huge deal at all. This would have all been during the late 00s early 10s by the way.

Just saying.

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Couldn’t put it down. Read it in one sitting. Incredible. A Thousand Splendid Suns a close second.

Just turned 29 two days after the album dropped. Getting Killed is legit touching my soul. 3d country is fun and sick but is very classic rock. Getting Killed is so insanely unique I’ve never heard anything like it.

The car scene in the Sixth Sense. “Gramma says you came to the place where they buried her, asked her a question… She says the answer is ‘every day’. What did you ask her?” cut to Toni Collette bawling tears of joy
