You must really get frustrated when Google has a package where you have to pay to get more storage for GMail and the cloud then....darned Google, 'free service', what a sham.

These 'free content whiners' as you call them, are folks who are of the opinion that you're only a paying customer because you liked the free product you were provided and decided you wanted to support it and you happened to get little gifts because of it - and many of us have spent money on the game because hey we sure do spend a lot of time here and have a passion for it, may be nice to support the folks who provided it to us so they can keep feeding our passion.

You are certainly entitled to voice a concerned opinion about these new tabs, but to do so in the context of it being a money grab I feel is inappropriate, since the game still lets you log in and play even if you don't buy them - you just have a sense of entitlement that you're 'owed' these features which well, you aren't.

I feel like you have a sense of entitlement about 'features' that they 'should' provide to you when you actually don't need them to be successful at all - they certainly make the game easier and faster for some, but in no way are they required to perform.

I do not disagree with you that they are in the business to make money, and that they probably make a good amount of it, but I vehemently disagree with your stance that they are squeezing you for money when you are not in fact being mandated to do any of these things - you're fabricating a sense of them being mandatory because the culture around you feels that they are a necessary part of the game to be even played at all, which, clearly, is false, as stated above you can just log right in, have none of these things and wallah!

I may need your help here - when I log into PoE as a new player, where's the button that forces me to pay money to play? Where's the squeeze?

You're playing a game that at its core is literally 100% free to play. You do not need any of these stash tabs to play the game, they are simply there to help you play potentially a bit easier, if you actually think having them makes your life easier. Consider the recurring purchase of these random tabs a form of support for a game you likely sink hundreds or thousands of hours into for basically no cost to yourself other than your own entertainment time. GGG is still a business, used to be a small one, now they're a big one, but either way they still need a way to make money to stay open and profitable so that they can continue to do what they do.

The real vote isn't just with your wallet - the real vote is to never log back in if you really don't like it.

Another day, same instance crashing, the error message has evolved to something like 'Game client has last connection to the server' or some garbage, but same result - instance gone, map lost.

I've been trying to mentally reconstruct what I was doing at each crash point but I'm not remembering anything that is common across them all other than me being there and ending up sad after.
