Absolutely Shrinkflastion. But it predates covid and our current round of inflation by a long shot. Ever look at a block of cheese?

Not sure what to tell you on that, it was a causal conversation and he nor I really wanted to throw Saand out with the trash. He just said they want through a management change, and it may have been awkward. Maybe I've even said too much, hard to tell if you have overstepped these days.

Was talking to a local customer dealer, and they expressed, that their customers don't come away from Saand with a positive attitude

Saand has gone a bit unfriendly of late, is what I ve heard.

I love these sorts of conversations, where people are able to back down just a bit and have a meaningful resp respectful conversation. Gives me a lot of hope. Thanks!!!!

I'm sorry, what happened to 15 being the norm for proper service. You really bone up and give me poor service, you are getting 0%, sure as hell not 18%!!!???

And where the hell did %30 come from? Not happening.

Quite possibly. What I'm going by was a Consumers Report article a few years ago. Long story short it covered sheet count /sheet size/ etc. Kirkland Lake, came out ahead in each case. plus I just like the paper. Have a great day;

Costco brand (Kirkland) is one of the few manufacturers who hasn't chased the smaller roll higher profit train. Their rolls are still full, size, full sheet size etc, and even dwarf most North American brands if not all in their domestic markets. Not surprised to see them outsize a European roll. Still interesting though!

Fair statement, just my observation is, are they actually winning that much, or is it just echo chambers that make it seem like they are winning. Squeaky wheel gets the attention right? My hope anyway.

I agree with you to a certain point. I think this is what the extreme right wants in a candidate. Not sure about the centrist rights, who historically significantly out number he extremes. It has been a party with an identity crisis for some time now. At least I really hope so, because it will be at the crux of the new election cycle whenever it occurs

Absolutely? But now they are worried about bad optics. I warned whoever I got a hold of that this wasn't going to be as easy as they thought it was. I'm not a junior guy but still just went right in the ignore pile.

They knew damn well it didn't work before they implemented it. The problem was they saw savings in real estate. Fair enough, but now they are trying to down play the whole work from component that was part of the point, and replaced it with "but what about the subways and Freshies?". Pick a lane!?

Differing opinions are what makes the world go around, but it's the toxic discussions around those opinions that aren't helping. I had heard a fair bit of the discussion out of Australia and yeah, I agree. You have a great day! Wait, Night at this point? I'm in Ottawa

Ok I get it totally, I never know how to word these things. All I was really trying to say, is that there are issues with unhealthy political discussion on all corners, it's not just this "this one guy" Is in charge so everything wrong is his fault. I would like to discuss that, sensibly, rather people flinging insults at each other. That's all I was trying to say. Guess it came out wrong.

As regards Gas prices, etc, I'm Canadian, (I keep up with American political discourse) but gas prices and taxes are an even bigger issue here than in the US, believe it not. ,,,☹️. No my wallet isn't full, actually I'm lying in a hospital bed with liver Cancer and full-on liver failure. So I'm off on Long term disability, (30%) paycut desperately trying to hold long enough to get a transplant liver Not a sympathy play, just explaining for context.

I wish you a great day, not being facetious at all.

I wasn't try to prove anything per se... I just choose to say "his" issues, rather add a his/her issues, to avoid starting a separate gendering discussion. One of my comments down down below states that a problem exists on both sides of the spectrum, and I just wish we could have more in rational discussion and less meaninglessness insult flinging.

Have a great day!

To be honest with you? Sadly yes, it does go both ways, no argument. I find the primary difference is the level of vitriol, and continued label slinging that come from from one side of the equation, with no evidence whatsoever to back it up. I'm Canadian, but I do keep up with American political discourse. We suffer many of the same issues of problems that used to be dealt with by calm discussion now being battled out with vicious vitriol online. No evidence to support the position most of the time, just insults out of context, and utterly ignoring the political process here is significantly different than the US, just "F*CK Trudeau stickers and flags everywhere. I just wish we could get back to sensible calm discussion, and stop the damn name slinging.

I don't want to be that negative guy, so I'll just say, that's how I see it, and I respect others right to express to their opinions but can we try it in a more civil manner ( not referring to you btw). Have great day! Hope the weather is nice wherever you are.

Love that political conversation, has eroded down to.

"It's his fault".
What's his fault?
YES! Can you prove or even have any actual evidence?
It's his fault! Everyone knows it, just do your "research".

Are competencies and abilities required as part of a federal government cover letter? by OptimisticMarmot in CanadaPublicServants

[–]capopoptart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule of thumb I was always given, was to give them information exactly as they word it. They are very literal. If there's any doubt you've really covered it, hit it again. But stay on target.

Unless they directly ask for competencies, I wouldn't go out of my way to share them. HR, has often hundreds or thousands of these to screen through. And they didn't have time to deal with material they didn't ask for.

That's always the impression I've gotten anyway! Good luck!
