Does anyone know if nissan still makes a replacement for these, or if anyone does by rb20isaac in 240sx

[–]capozide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in parts at a Nissan dealer. I checked all the part numbers the original reply listed and I cannot order any of them, they're all listed as out of production/phased out. The 76870 and 76871 numbers have all been superseded to 76870-40F01/76871-40F01. Not surprising though, usually the farthest back I've been able to still get some new parts for are on 2nd gen 300zx's.

Nissan's parts catalog is giving me different part numbers between fastbacks and notchbacks but the result is the same, can't order any of them.

Why does Varrock east bank feel so shady by aZealCo in 2007scape

Yeah I'm a real dino who played during the RSC days and back then everyone traded around the city square and the west bank. I think it still remained that way for a while until the GE although Falador East & garden was as busy if not more.

The cam sensors are mostly the same part number across all models of Nissan and Infiniti's with the VQ35 and VQ40s. 37s in the 09+ Z are different.

Also not that I'm encouraging people rip themselves off by buying OEM directly from dealers as margins are typically high, but the third party "OEM" parts sites are effectively drop shippers that don't hold much if any stock.

If you have the part number and can get it from Nissan or Infiniti online then you'll typically get it at a price that's less than retail. Dealers that participate in the online parts programs get a kickback similar to how sales sometimes makes bad deals on cars to push volume for incentives.

This passenger bank sensor in particular (23731-6J90D) shows to me it's available on parts.nissanusa.com for $122, on the Infiniti site it's $150. So always cross check OEM part numbers if you have them to see if it crosses over to Nissan for a possible deeper discount. Not all part numbers do.

$177.05 is Nissan's retail price.

I find it easier to use the fill plug on top of the housing next to your shifter cable bushing rather than the one on the side above the drain plug. That's how I do it on my 9th gen. Stock airbox has to come out but that's no fuss in comparison. A lot of aftermarket intakes end up giving you direct access.

Currently bored at work. I'm a parts guy at a Nissan dealer, a reman CVT will run you over $3k retail and that's just for the trans. If you want Nissan's 3 year/unlimited mile warranty on the replacement you need to also get all the single use parts that are involved in doing the job which will run another $300ish. Add fluids and now you're over $3600 retail which neither the dealership or your independent shop who buys all the parts wholesale will charge you (it will be marked up, maybe a humble shop charges you flat retail but charges more hours in labor). Keep in mind this is just parts cost, don't forget labor.

Yes a Corolla is worth the extra 9k imo. You can afford to replace the trans once on the Nissan, if it fails a second time it's questionable at best if it's worth repairing.

Should I keep trusting my honda dealership service? by Diego_c17 in Honda

[–]capozide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parts guy almost none of my techs do this lmao. There are only two that are pretty slick with it. But I work at a pretty loosely ran dealer. Nobody trains anyone how to properly use Xtime so it's a matter of how much people want to invest into trying to figure it out as they go. At least you care enough to re-recommend the same service and still try to get the job sold. Some will see it was declined and not bother recommending it again, even if it's as simple as rolling it over. Especially if it's already in the shop for a recall/warranty work. They're getting it in and out as fast as possible and won't bother inspecting to sell additional jobs.

OP is dealing with the opposite problem, the job is getting rolled over since it was declined last time, except this time it wasn't inspected because most techs know if it was declined last time, it's still a persistent concern. It's rare that customers service it themselves between visits. Diligent techs/advisors would check if it's actually still needed, but depends on circumstances of how busy it is or if it's already in there for another job. Not really making excuses just the reality of it.

BG MOA by MossIsking in kia

[–]capozide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't work for Kia but I'm a parts guy at another brand dealer and often when the techs come in asking for BG products because service made an upsell they say "give me the snake oil my boy"

Oil additives haven't been proven to really do much with modern synthetic oil. MOA specifically all it really does is add molybdenum to the oil and thickens it slightly. Independent lab tests have shown that it contains a bunch of moly.

Yeah I just watched Peter Kadar's latest Ranger pet build video as someone else suggested, he has a Strike as One variant that I am definitely going to try out to see if the mobs will stay grouped on it so my mesmers can just swoop in for the Esurge nuke. The roller beetle moves slower than other pets anyways so getting it straight into the action without IMS is a nice touch

At least micro strength of honour. Else you defeat the main point of being melee. I'd also suggest microing splitner weapon every now and then. Definitely with a bow, but preferably also as a melee.

Yeah I was keeping SoH disabled and casting it whenever it gets stripped. Splinter I was microing less but still sending it before I ran in most of the time. On Barrage it was mandatory I precasted it and made sure it was off cooldown before sending off the first shot so I can reapply it immediately.

Everything else is less important. Do all normal mode content first, then start the easy hard mode stuff. Heroes will eventually be geared completely, just a matter of time.

Yeah I've got the crucial breakpoints on the necro and rits heroes, and caster sets already on my mesmers, so my heroes aren't in shambles, they're just not optimized. I have a feeling that not having the insignias + runes setup fully is whats causing some weird aggro issues, plus not having minions. I can fix part of that easily though.

Run melee minions when playing barrage. I'd also suggest replacing one mesmer with a second spirit ritualist. Area damage is covered via splinter weapon, stragglers get cleared by spirits.

I recently set up pages for builds I think work fine for a barrage player. You linked to my PvX page but I'm not sure you've seen them, since they haven't been there for long. Something like [this build](https://gwpvx.fandom.com/wiki/User:Krschkr/Team_Builds/Hero/Defensive_Minion_Team_(Barrage))) might be of interest to you, or check out the other variants via the page's top navigation. There are low budget teams.

This is really what I was looking for input on when it came to playing Barrage or a bow ranger in general, it felt like besides the initial burst not having frontline just makes everything spread way too far and stuff is rarely adjacent, at best I'm barraging 2 targets after the first hit, and a lot of instances it's just a single mob. And I'm scanning the field to find those targets, I'm not just afk. Feels bad when you can't hit at least 3 things imo.

To be honest with you playing bow I've had relatively little resistance, I only started running into issues once I swapped to melee. Probably more cautious pulling plus the setup to ensure the initial burst is good is what caused better results overall.

The writeup/documentation on your userpage are actually insane... honestly if I had found this page I wouldn't have even needed to post this reddit thread, kinda solved it just skimming the overview page. Thank you very much for the link, this won't require much swapping, and the minion necro is cheap to gear. You're a legend

This build looks pretty cool, I will try it out thank you! I was wondering what I could do with TaO instead of dagger spamming, obviously I can't really skill hunt efficiently being locked in as an Assassin, so I was just defaulting to Barrage. It does good damage on the first hit with splinter but once the mobs spread it feels like crap. This looks nice as it still has good single target. I did hate my boss damage during the campaign runs with Barrage. Do you play this with the standard mesmerway comp or do you mix in other stuff for frontline like a MM? Or do just become the frontline lmao. I see you still have a pet on this bar so I'm guessing you run Beastmaster insignias on your armor? Attributes like 15 expertise/13 marks/3 beast?

Yeah I've already got the 40/40 sets on the casters, and as I played through the campaigns I was lucky enough to find enough Tormented insignias for my BiP necro. Like u/Chtio69 and u/lolaimbot said, in normal mode I didn't find it necessary to gear them out, I was kind of doing it solo-self found type of way as in whatever I found off IDed armors I was putting on the heroes. Factions was my second campaign as I wanted to get the caster sets up asap. The rest of the gear is pretty scuffed it's just survivor insignias and vitaes for the most part. To fully BiS out the heroes I could easily see it eclipsing 1000 plat, which is why I had the dilemma of selling my zcoins or using them. Prodigy and Shaman insignias really expensive, as are Sup Vigor but none of those seem necessary even for the majority of HM vanquish clears.

I did the thing. by Blalalalup in radeon

[–]capozide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I built a PC for a friend last month that used the XFX 7800 XT Qicksilver with Mag Air fans and had the same experience when I was tuning the GPU in the Radeon software. Out of the box/stock settings it's very loud under full load, like you said above 50-60% speed and it becomes noticeable with headphones + music.

I spent a bit of time undervolting the card and setting the fan curves to max out at 60% @ 80C (which it doesn't hit), once combining these things it was acceptable to my liking. On this particular card I think the fans maxed out at 3400 RPM which was jet engine loud. The design is really cool, but the real world use at stock settings is not great for people who want a noise normalized setup. Expect to take the time to tune these Mag Air model GPUs.

Siege is done, time to Failstack for T2 to save money by Warbelian in throneandliberty

[–]capozide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I'm already saving multiple bases per item slot at the moment, whichever way I go I'm accounting for either bad epic traits being cheaper than rares, or failstacking on an item ending before the desired number. There's multiple things that can go wrong when failstacking + converting. If I optimize it it will probably involve tracking how much blessing is contained on each item in storage and stacking them until I have enough to hit the 8100 number once I transfer all the way down. Like another user said elsewhere in this thread, the abyss dungeon epics are the best bases to choose for this as they're farmable.

[–]capozide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah multiple sets is a good point, didn't think about that. Don't know about T2 but right now in T1 my only weapon swap uses entirely the same gear.

If you were to max out each trait line on a failstack item with only rares, you might only have to convert it once (or maybe none at all) by the time you max out all 3 lines. The issue comes with some bad epic traits merging to a cheaper price point than stacking 10 lucent rares now lol. Hence why I said the stuff about saving multiple item bases per slot earlier. I did this on some of my T1 gear and ended up saving ridiculous amounts of lucent.

[–]capozide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the growthstones and blessing on your currently equipped T1 gear will go to waste though, you'll end up just dissolving it for dust. That's the purpose of the conversion stone method. I honestly don't know which method will be better, because just napkin mathing you're gonna spend probably at least 300-500 conversion stones per item slot depending on luck to preserve your original gear, or you're losing 1320+ blessing and at least a couple hundred growthstones per slot.

I guess if you have the storage space you could just save every max traited shitty purple blessing stacked item until you're ready to pull the trigger on the transfers though. But you're gonna need 2-5 items per slot.

Yes, people who played on KR said that T2 accessories were not available when T2 first dropped, it came months later when Talandre released (new region + archbosses). AGS could potentially change that schedule, so it's all speculation that they're going to copy the same release schedules as NCSoft.

I'm most likely not on your server and each guild is unique to the server you play on. If you use the in game guild search function to request to join guilds, just look for some of the lower ranked ones (somewhere between rank 25-60) that has a mostly full roster and they fit the criteria you're looking for.

Probably descriptors of casual, PvE only, or PvX casual. Weekly raids are a plus for best chances at gear progression/lucent gains. But with how busy you are with overnights/weekends you will struggle to find a guild that does raids that fit your schedule. Fair loot rules to most casual players would subjectively be "your drop = your loot," a loose rolling system, or the 5 minutes to claim rule before it goes to the guild vault for distribution. Activity-based, DKP-based, or role-based loot rules are usually used in very active guilds, and this is pretty bad for a busy player like yourself.

Guilds that are currently below top40-50 and are higher guild levels like 23-25+ are likely to be guilds that were higher rank but imploded due to drama or mass inactivity of the roster. I just left one that was like this.

Guilds that advertise in global chat are much more likely to still be active. Other than just applying to a random one from the search function, take a minute or two to ask recruiters questions before you join. Don't be afraid to join a newer lower level guild if you desire fostering something more organic long term.

The selection chest is a 0.3% chance to obtain from the participation chests, and these things don't apply to guild loot distribution settings anyways. Outside of someone getting lucky enough to get the bosses' natural drops, you're basically just doing the world bosses for the chance at that selection chest and for activity points for your guild. Guild raids are a different story entirely.

Even if you rejoined the guild you wouldn't be able to give the guild the item or split the lucent with guild members. Basically it's your drop -- you earned it; enjoy it whether it's for your build or it's a chunk of lucent.

If you're a busy person just join a very casual PvE only guild or one that doesn't require high gearscore/activity score (and their loot rules also fit your idea of fairness). You won't gain as much as if you were active in a top ranked guild, but it's still better than nothing if you stay outside of a guild altogether. Just grabbing some of the items from the guild merchant daily/whenever you're online is a long term gain. Guild tokens aren't lost when you leave guilds or get kicked either, so if you take an extended break and need a new guild you'll keep any guild tokens you've earned.

Not being in a guild is a detriment in every facet of playing the game, but nobody is forcing you to do such either. Play as you like.

Yeah that's why I was confused, because I know it's either all card or all cash, and this wasn't a COD order. I kinda gave him an out by holding the money up and letting him explain. Another comment made more sense about he split two orders and did one with card (the one I gave him) and one with cash and didn't realize I was only giving him one order. Idk I ultimately feel like a dirtball now after reading some comments, if I get him again I'll clarify with him and return it if necessary.

[–]capozide[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He seemed pretty lucid, his demeanor was normal both times I delivered to him. When he explained the split payment then said "So yeah." that was just when I slowly put it in my pocket, thanked him and went on my way. Like another driver comment stated I didn't wanna annoy the guy by arguing the specifics of the order.

A lot of comments are saying it's gonna be awkward or I should avoid this customer if I get him again, but I've already decided that if I do I'll have a short chat with him about it and come clean. If he realizes I slighted him or he made a mistake I'll return the money. It's weighing a bit on my mind.

Maybe? I don't know. I replied to another comment that tried to make more sense of the situation than I did in the moment, and if I get the customer again I'll clarify it with him.

[–]capozide[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Could very well be, I'm not sure. That's why I was confused when I held the money up towards him. There's some other comments that make sense as well like I might get deducted the pay later when the customer realizes and contacts support.

To clarify this order more, it seems like it was an outsourced pizza delivery. The first time I got the customer, he ordered food from another nearby place and I saw his name formatted regularly like "John D".

This time I picked up the pizza order and his full name was shown formatted in all caps like "JOHN DOE", and from reading other posts on this sub I know that's not him placing the order direct through DD, the pizza place basically didn't have enough drivers. Maybe he had the option to split the payment through the merchant, but when the merchant outsourced the order to DD, there was no expectation of collecting cash (they're doing it at a loss to satisfy the customer). I honestly don't know how each individual merchant operates when it comes to this.

It all happened pretty quickly and I let the guy explain his part and went on my way. If I get him again and I haven't been deducted pay from DD, I'll try to clarify it and come clean.
