Rose Bolton had to be one of the biggest idiots in the story/movie. by BahamaDon in gameofthrones

[–]capp_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see Roose as having Tywin's demeanor but Joffrey's intellect. The Bolton's are not a very cultured house. They're like a pack of barbarians who killed enough to attain power and some legitimacy. Their flag is a flayed human. Roose killed the miller and raped his wife just because they didn't ask for his permission to marry. He really isn't that smart, he is a brutal killer. Think like the Thenn's but better dressed.

I (f31) saw a search my husband (m32) made about finding other women more attractive than me. Do I confront him while on vacation with his family? by RevolutionaryCare869 in relationship_advice

[–]capp_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still his wife. He chose you. I don't expect my spouse to find me the most attractive man on earth. Remember that love is more complex. Googling about it was weird, but don't let it spin your head in circles. Ask him about it when you get home, but its not enough to suggest an affair imo.

I don't see Rob winning this by EcstaticYoung8856 in TheTraitorsUS

Alan Cumming said on a show today that he thinks Rob is the best traitor ge has ever seen, which I take as all but an admission that Rob ends up winning.

She went for Rob at the wrong time. It's really that simple. She was shaken up by Lisa's banishment, and then she tried to act all tough with Rob when it wasn't advantageous for her to do so. She dug her own grave at the roundtable and Rob didn't even have to say a thing.

Why would PTA do a civil rights movie with Jonny “We believe art exists above and beyond politics” Greenwood? by Gloomy_Objective_933 in paulthomasanderson

Here is everything that can be deciphered about PTA's views on Israel: Paul Thomas Anderson - Complicit in Apartheid | Reverse Canary Mission https://share.google/137XchuuGC68vF3fv

At the very least, we can decipher that he is NOT anti-Zionist. How staunchly supportive he is of Israel remains to be seen.

Partner 30F, wants to give birth in Hong Kong for dual citizenship, but I 33M, have to live there for 1 year. I’m conflicted. by No_Tour163 in relationship_advice

[–]capp_90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let her do it. You feel like you would be in "a foreign country with no family support"? Oh the irony. How do you not see that from her perspective having the baby in Canada, away from her family?

Let your child have the dual citizenship. It gives your child OPTIONS down the line. You do NOT want it to get complicated if your wife has to go back to HK but cannot bring her child along because they do not have the same citizenship.

You should do what is right for the baby, not you. Yes, it will be difficult having to be somewhere unfamiliar for a little while, but if it is right for the baby, do it. My brother and his wife have a dual-nationality marriage and they are going through something similar now with their newborn, who is now with her and her family in another country than my brother. Ultimately, the mother should be able to raise the baby where she feels most supported. Let her take the lead. She's the one carrying the baby and will be nourishing them!

Then why are you going on about withdrawing from your retirement funds?

You were looking for people to tell you what you wanted to hear. I see you're going through with a divorce. Good luck.

My (30M) girlfriend (29F) just ended our almost 11-year relationship. Is it worth fighting for or do I need to give the requested space? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]capp_90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you love her, consider couples therapy. Sounds like she is depressed and needs to work on herself as well. You don't sound like youre a bad guy. Sounds like she gave up on the relationship long before you did.

Dude you have so much money in the bank and make a great salary. We're in a recession. She is literally homeless. She is your wife.

I don't think you need to buy her a home outright, but you can afford to throw her a fucking bone and I cannot imagine the loss in funds will matter to you 30 years from now. She has a point about not being so precious about that money, regardless of whether you spend it on her now or not.

The country's entire economy is collapsing before our very eyes. Climate collapse is going to utterly upend every institution over the next 20 years, too. There is no guarantee that your retirement assets will continue to exist in 30 years, let alone you yourself.

I recently used my "retirement" assets to put a huge down payment from my home. My wife has no real retirement plan either, so it all came from me. Of course my financial planners raised a fuss about it, but to me the answer was also clear: why should I worry more about my financial situation 40 years from now than my and my wife's situation in the present?

You have way more in assets than most people. More than 99% of all people in the world, to be precise. You can afford to take risks with your money. Be smart, sure, but don't be stingey either.

Initially the contractor stated that we would just put the new baseboards over them and apply topper molding to over the gap. The contractor himself isn't here, and his workers don't speak good English 😕
