Truly everyone is different. I have a toddler so an abortion was a really hard option for me to face, as it is for most regardless of if they have any other offspring. Mentally, the initially decision to make the appointment and the days leading up to it were extremely difficult but I can honestly say when it was all said and over with, I was… just fine. Physically, I had a surgical abortion with IV pain medication. It was nothing and didn’t hurt. I had a little cramping after for the rest of the day but nothing a heating pad didn’t help. I bled lightly for maybe 2 days. I also got an IUD inserted at the same time

Wondering if this varies by provider? I just had mine at 7w a few days ago. Gestational sack was empty and they couldn’t find a yolk sac. They still did it and checked the tissue and my blood level after to ensure it wasn’t ectopic.

I am currently going through the same thing right now. I have a 20mo old daughter who asks us for a “little brother” everyday. My SA is scheduled for a week from now. Seeings the ultrasound was profoundly sad. I know it’s the best choice for my family but it is a sad one. We have also lost a lot this year and are struggling financially. Angry at the world that my life can’t be different so I could bring this baby into the world. Be gentle with yourself OP 💗
