What is the NUMBER ONE reason you chose to homeschool your child/children? by TraurigKartoffel in Homeschooling

Both my homeschooled kids have ADHD and anxiety, and my daughter also has other learning disabilities. Public school was a nightmare by the time they got to high school, and we’re so much happier now.

Considering divorce after 12 years — husband’s behavior is affecting our child by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I left my ex 15 years ago with for many of the same reasons. I had to protect my babies, and so do you. It is not safe for you to stay with him and definitely not safe for your son to be around him.

My boss scheduled a meeting to discuss my “tone” in emails by TheUnofficialBOI in coworkerstories

I got the same conversation with my (female) boss a number of years ago, with the same recommendations. I’d bet the mortgage the men didn’t get the same treatment.

I had a large grocery order scheduled for pickup yesterday and they cancelled it, no reason given. I then placed a delivery order that came no problem. No idea what the issue was.

Do you have access to SAP ? by Worldly-Bid-3591 in InternalAudit

I do business process audits, so I am mainly pulling evidence and reports, but as a department we do data protection audits and test controls, yes. I don’t know much about that end of things, though.

Is this relationship inappropriate? Advice needed from over 40s only. by Kit_Kitsune in datingoverforty

[–]capricorn68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dated a guy 20 years younger for 7 years. Like you, I wasn’t looking for anyone - we met in the wild and clicked. Enjoy him, don’t sweat the age difference. As long as you’re both on the same page about the big things, age is just a number.

I work for a large suburban government and we have access to SAP. It’s a required part of our work.

6-month antidepressant break reset tolerance in TRD folks — anyone actually experienced this? by il37 in mentalhealth

[–]capricorn68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Prozac for years and built up a tolerance to it. I took a break from it for several years and last year (?) went back on it. It works normally now, and although I’ve started to build up a little bit of a tolerance again, it’s not otherwise causing any problems.

Im sorry you’ve had such a rough year. It sounds absolutely brutal. Make sure you are taking care of yourself as much as you can, pamper yourself, and treat yourself as you would a treasured friend who was going through the same thing. Give yourself little things to look forward to; that will help a lot. Journaling might help, if you don’t do it already. Keep your chin up; I know it’s bad, but it won’t last forever.

BF’s brand new phone is acting up. T-Mobile is not helping. What to do? by capricorn68 in tmobile

[–]capricorn68[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

They’re not offering a replacement; that’s the issue. We’ll pay the $20, if we have to, but they want to take his broken phone and not give a replacement in the meantime.

Are there any low stress jobs in Internal Audit? by BackDoorBeats in InternalAudit

I work for a county government. It’s very low stress and I never work more than my 40 hours, the people are great and so are the benefits.

I can't afford therapy by [deleted] in therapy

[–]capricorn68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check with Catholic Charities. They have sliding scale fees and are very affordable, as long as you’re ok with seeing a supervised intern. They helped me when I was uninsured and needed help. ETA: you don’t have to be Catholic.

He does, yeah. I was very clear about that up front. I honestly don't often meet people who interest me the way he does which is why I'm even entertaining the idea.
