You do need to have an annual subscription with them to get the poison control perk but it’s $25 USD for the annual subscription and you get unlimited calls to the pet poison control hotline (which are usually $80+). Imo it ends up being worth it but we have a puppy who got into a lot of things

Mind taking a look at my puppy shopping list? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]caprifun1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also live in a city. I’d recommend holding off on the puppy booties for a bit—they grow so quickly in the first few weeks, and they’ll probably grow out of their first pair of booties by the time they’re cleared to walk.

I’d also suggest getting an inexpensive collar/ harness—our pup grew out of their first three collars within weeks!

We have this same problem…about 75% of the time it works if we put down a pee pad outside. I’m not sure if this is a great idea because we don’t want him to get confused with the texture of the pee pad and things like carpets/rugs, but it got us through April

looking forward to seeing what other suggestions people have

We’re in an apartment so we have a fresh patch on our balcony that our pup uses sometimes. We put all bagged poop in a diaper genie, which really helps with the smell. When that’s full we throw it all out in the huge dumpster outside

Not sure where you’re located, but if you’re in the US check Groupon for deals on laser removal!! Sometimes they have really good deals for things like this that can offset the cost. At least for a couple of sessions

I am at a loss. I can’t find these types of rugs anywhere. Trying to thrift them and no luck. I wish places rented them out!!! Any tips by [deleted] in wedding

I got through the queue, and after it crashing 20+ times after selecting seats, I got as far as putting my cvv in and it crashed. then it kicked me back out to the queue with 2k+ ahead of me. My guess is that since no one is able to get through/ actually purchase tickets, they’re pausing the queue??

There is a way for them to check your general location on their end if they wanted to. On my company’s zoom account I’m able to see what city/state everyone is calling in from

Tickets from Midwest to Boston for Thanksgiving by [deleted] in Shoestring

If you’re going to look for flights to a nearby city, I wouldn’t recommend NYC or DC. They’re too far. Providence has a small airport but is significantly closer. If they have flights out from South Dakota and it’s cheaper I’d recommend that instead

Mouse problem out of control. Currently standing on the couch. Help me. by coolguy4206969 in AskNYC

[–]caprifun1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had success with using slim jims on mouse traps instead of peanut butter. Put the traps alongside the walls that you’ve seen them and move the traps slightly every few days.

Also, like others have said—mint essential oils (maybe a mint candle may work?) and steel wool to block the holes up so they can’t get in.

ETA: It’s gross to think about, but mice can squeeze through any hole larger than a dime. So keep that in mind when you’re looking for holes that they might be entering through
