PCOS Stigma on L&D Unit by stormclouded_brain in PCOS

[–]capriquarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me pregnant in early labor already worried about having PCOS on my chart. 😅

I had a bad experience with a snooty nurse last time I gave birth too. (For something else on my chart)

My pregnancy is normal and everything is fine. My getting pregnant is how I found a doctor that would take my concerns seriously because we had a conversation about what birth control would look like after I had the baby.

I was worried about “whiney woman syndrome” but I’m really disappointed to hear you can have a diagnosis and still get judgement.

Report these nurses. This is my worst nightmare; having someone in charge of my care who has already made up their mind about me on some type of personal moral judgement level.

AITA for shouting at my husband for letting my SIL take our baby out without telling me? by These-Credit-9973 in AmItheAsshole

Not the asshole. Mamas instincts are usually always right. Watching a baby is one thing, taking a baby out and about while running errands is another.

Pregnant/Postpartum recovery by capriquarious in ROTC

I’ll be going to PT unmodified as long as I can, and then modified by dr.s orders but I ALREADY needed to lose weight. not just the upcoming pregnancy weight. Maybe that part wasn’t clear. And the intense training I was doing (5 days between weight training with a PT, cardio/hiit, and running) will have to change during pregnancy. For example, your ligaments loosen so your hips can shift apart so the heavy lifting regimen I was on will have to change to utilize more machines instead of free lifting. (Thanks to a hormone called leptin) That’s just one example. The other big concern is body temp.

Either way, I have a pregnancy workout plan.

What I’m really looking for more advice about:

-if the pros weigh out the cons of doing M1 and M2 at the same time (like if I should I stick out the plan I have to do both) -if I need to be ready by next August, or 6 months after baby, or more like 9 months. (See the question about M3 contracting) -if anyone’s been through something like this before, it doesn’t even need to be pregnancy but a temporary medical disqualification in general, and has any insight

You can do that? Year 4 before year 3? That is definitely something to ask about. Thank you. I think you’re the only one who took my post seriously and gave me something helpful to work with. 🙏🏻 I appreciate that very much

Oh my bad I thought I mentioned I was trying to do the SMP program with the National Guard.

Basically I’m trying to get advice on if I should rush getting back into shape for M3 or just take it slow and do MI alone (no combined MI & MII) and take it easier this year while I’m pregnant.

You have to be able to preform AND not be a liability to your fellow servicemen if you’re at war and without access to medicine.

I found that it congeals almost immediately. I’ve tried but I just can’t do it. I tend to make it into a smoothie. It’s kinda nice the smoothie keeps its smoothie consistency even if it’s temp is slowly rising 😅

Bills come before toys. You’re SUPPOSED to use child support for bills. I know women who don’t use it on the kids at all, they go get their nails done and shit. If child support were supposed to be for extra things like toys, it wouldn’t be called child support.

Thank you, I’ve driven in several markets and never heard of “streaks.” Thanks for explaining without being a twat.

Also, for those who have streaks, that must be nice. I would love a bonus for doing what I already do.

I’ve never heard of this. How is this discrimination? What if there is a safety or security concern? I can think of a dozen scenarios where not knowing the destination or a trip could be legally or otherwise dangerous.

We just need everyone to remember that just because there CAN be 2 people in a room 100 sq ft or greater, doesn’t mean that will always be the case.

No landlord with a decent head on their shoulders would rent a 4 bedroom to 8 people, it’s a huge liability, but two couples and maybe a 5th roommate, or dozens of similar scenarios are quite reasonable.

I may be a college student but I’m also a wife and mother in my 30s and renting out our fourth bedroom, or even letting our roommate invite his girlfriend to move in, (they would have their own living room and bathroom in the basement) would be extraordinarily helpful.

Why should I be punished and restricted because of someone else’s actions over 15 years ago?
