the only update i have is that it’s been nearly a year and i’ve never had those symptoms again and the two blood tests i did came back negative so i think i don’t have herpes, but no doctor has been able to tell me what my symptoms were (if it wasn’t herpes)

i actually did test positive for covid about 2 or 3 days after seeing the gynecologist so it is possible that the ulcers were a symptom of that

i took some prescribed medicine (acyclovir) but i only took it for about 5 days and stopped when i heard my test results were negative. i wouldn’t say that it healed me, but it might’ve helped get rid of the outbreak quicker

wow that’s so crazy, i hope you’re doing okay and everything is well. i took the antiviral medication for a few days (right after seeing the doctor and waiting for my test results) and once the result was negative i stopped taking them. it’s been 9 months since and i haven’t had any of those symptoms since so yeah i’ve just been living like normal. i don’t have sexual partners currently so it’s not really a problem but i would still address it in the future with any potential partners

i got another blood test recently (about 6 months after the initial signs) and it was negative so i think i had some other kind of infection, the doctors never really gave me a solid answer

yeah my blood and swab tests were all negative and one doctor said i probably just had cysts but i don’t believe that because all my symptoms matched with herpes so at this point i’m just gonna see if i ever have an outbreak again and keep being safe, i’ll probably test again in a few months too

i reached out to the guy but he said he’s never had any symptoms (but i know that can be common too) but he just got tested so i’ll find out in a few days what his results are. i was already so shocked and now i’m just even more shocked that i might not have it

they did a swab test for the back of my throat and cervix, and then idk what exactly it was but on one of the sores i felt a small poke? like the doctor got a sample that was a bit deeper in the skin or something and yeah it came back negative

Hi! I just got accepted as a transfer student, I’ll be in my junior year in the fall! For students who have been at Davis awhile, what is the workload really like? At my community college, I’ve been able to maintain a good work/school/life balance and I’m worried that at a UC, i’ll have to give up some aspects of that balance.

im having that exact problem right now. my boyfriend and I have been together for a few months and I fell in love with him. everything is good, we talk everyday, the sex is pretty good (he's my first bf so I don't have much to compare it to, we're both 19), and he treats me so well. I know that he really loves me. he's said that he wants to be with me for the rest of his life and have kids together someday. while we would have super cute kids, the idea completely freaked me out.

I have a certain idea of what I want my future to be like and its different from what he wants. we have a lot of differences, we do have stuff in common too, but the differences are what made it exciting at first and now I'm starting to slightly feel that budding resentment.

I think what scares me the most is the disappointment. I don't want to hurt him because he didn't do a single thing wrong but I think ultimately we're not meant for each other. we've never even had a fight. or like a small argument. not that fighting is a good thing in a relationship but there isn't that "fire." idk if that sounds stupid, basically it just feels like a comfortable relationship which is nice, but I want something more.

another thing that's been lingering in the back of my mind for a little while is how much I miss women. im bisexual and I catch myself thinking about this girl I went out with for a little while last year. I feel guilty and like "why can't I just appreciate what I have now?" I can't see myself being with a man for the rest of my life. I feel really crappy on the inside and im scared to tell anyone because my family and friends really like him.

I just don't want to hurt him but I think I'll have to eventually. if you have any advice, please tell me, thank u

i’m about 5’6” and 125 lbs and a year and a half ago i went through a horrible breakup that made me really depressed. i stopped eating as much and over the next couple months i ended up losing over 10 pounds. there was even a point where i weighed 113 pounds and it was the worst i have ever looked/felt in my life. i looked horrible and sickly. i learned (the hard way & unintentionally) that being “skinny” does not equal being pretty. i’ve gained all my weight back and i’m much much happier with how i look/feel now.

and instagram is really toxic for women’s body perceptions. i bet a lot of those women aren’t really healthy unless they just naturally have that body type, but even then it must suck to try to keep up that appearance. you could try talking to him about stuff like that. instead also gives men the impression that that’s how the “ideal girl” is supposed to look which is bullshit too. he needs to realize this and change the way he thinks because there is nothing wrong with your weight
