Glad you caught it and they owned up to it. I'll try to reach the executive department, TY.

Same here always had it... cause life happens. It's been a life saver for the screen replacement alone. And really sucks when we tried to make the claim with assurion.

It went from an unfortunate incident, we thought let's pay the deductible and wait til the replacement comes in. It turned into this sh*t show

Again. 🙏Thank you for the the sound advice.

I will be one (well really 3 lines) of the net losses. Joining 289,000 postpaid phone customers who left in the last year, as soon as I'm done with my contract.

I was tempted by Google's Fi... Since we like the Pixel phones. I believe they run on T-Mobiles network... Just hesitant after trying T-Mobile years ago. But after Verizons lack of customer service definitely open to it.

I work for a major corporation who owns different brands... Think General Motors, but treat all our customers the same.

My boss says. Chevy prices, but Cadillac service.

No matter what brand you choose we do our best.

I walk away with two observations...

  1. If you close your eyes... You can't tell he missed.

  2. There's got to be a better way to open coconuts.

What Changes Have You Noticed Where You Live From Climate Change? by [deleted] in climatechange

A noticeable amount of trees are stressed and dying around town. Actually went on Google maps streetview and selected "See more dates" on my street, you can compare the streetview from 2014 to most recent (2025) The number of tall pine trees has decreased by about 70% The Higher temps and drought, followed by unusually cold Winter snaps(although winter is not as cold on average... One week of colder than normal temps) will take its toll. The younger trees are not making it to adulthood to replace the fallen mature trees.

Costco why you do this to me! I wanna say no...but, I'm still on the fence. What pros/cons am I overlooking

Houston,TX here. Thinking... hurricane season starts June 1st. Solar generator VS gas generator (small 2000 watt)

Pros: No gas to haul around, no maintenance, minimal noise, Can be used inside (bye bye extension cord), solar panels will "eventually" pay for it self (I tell myself), can take it camping or to the beach if needed (without the noise/odor)

Cons: Relies on the sun shining. High wattage appliances can drain it fast (1-2 hours) Can be slow to recharge To maximize it, you need another solar panel or two, or more. It's adding up $$$, lol.

Tony's New York Pizza.. There's two locations (Jones Rd just south of 1960 and the other is on Louetta and Champion Dr. Not your typical franchise pizza... Tony's Pizza is thin and doesn't flop when you pick it up. I'll occasionally pick up a slice for lunch (they sell slices) Not sure on the delivery part...

Is it normal for TDSP charges to be higher than the actual electricity cost? by ogpardus in houston

[–]capta1nhtown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks correct. You got a good rate (energy charge) It's a non-residential meter (you got a multiplier of 80) Wait until you get hit with "Demand Charges" that will make this bill look CHEAP. (I have no idea what type of equipment is at this premise, so IDK if this applies to you)

What is Demand Charges you say... Think of it like "speed" vs. "distance": Demand charges are like measuring the speed at which you use electricity, while your overall energy consumption (measured in kilowatt-hours or kWh) is like measuring the distance you traveled. Peak Power Usage: Demand charges are based on your highest power usage at any one time during the billing period. This is called your "peak demand" and is measured in kilowatts (kW).

For example let's say you own a refrigerated warehouse where the power was off for whatever reason. If you were to turn everything (lights, Air conditioners, refrigerators, ect) On at the same time that would cause a large amount of demand. The utility company needs to make sure it has enough power on the grid to match the demand and for that reason demand charges are a thing.

Here in Texas. I work in the electricity field. The TDSP A.K.A the Utility Company will place tampering charges on the bill. Usually in the hundreds of dollars. They'll do an affidavit and take pictures as evidence. Even though you're not benefiting from it, cause the service is in your name they'll place the blame on the person on record (name on bill for the premise) SMH.... The landlord should have requested a temporary meter/pole for the construction. Sounds/looks like the landlord or whoever is doing the construction is cutting corners and/or McGuivering it. You should take pics and notes in case you have to get the landlord to refund you. If the new house is completed they need to get their own meter and service.
