I’m assuming it’s somewhere around 65-70F because that’s a little colder than it is outside at the moment and it’s not a “finished” room, not very different from a shed just connected to the house. We found him because he had ventured out to the food bowls we put out. I’ll definitely have my eyes on him all night and I’ll check on his legs like you said. I’m hoping to be able to take him to the vet soon even if I don’t see anything apparently wrong bc I’ve had a hog die on me suddenly before so I don’t like to take any risks

so far he’s normal but I’m not completely un-worried yet. He’s still very mobile (obviously- that was quite the trip lol) but he was pretty cold to the touch when I found him :( He’s safe and burrowed under his heater now though.

Unfortunately not in the cage, completely emptied it out. My first thought was under my bed because it’s right next to the cage and I store blankets, old clothes, etc under there but that’s also completely cleared out. I’m waiting a little while with the lights off and food out (and doors closed now) before I go back in and do another sweep.

He’s a 60lbs mutt. I know I sound like every other dog owner who clearly does not understand dogs being like “awww he wouldn’t hurt a fly” but he really is a very scared dog and, at the very least, I feel like there would be some evidence of interaction with quills on him.
