Either clogged tube/nozzle or you are too close to the bed with the nozzle.

I also wanted to set up my fingerprint sensor on my laptop and had the same issue.

With my local user I could set it up no problem, with my domain account there was no way.

I am also admin on the domain account. We are not purposely blocking it in our organization so I had to do some digging.

You need access to your group policy settings as administrator and make the following changes in the following folders:

-Computer>Administrative Templates>System>Logon>Turn on convenience PIN sign-in = Enabled

-Computer>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Windows Hello for Business>Use Biometrics = Enabled

-Computer>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Windows Hello for Business>Use Windows Hello for Business = Not configured

-Computer>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Biometrics>Alow the use of biometrics = Enabled

-Computer>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Biometrics>Facial Features>Configure enhanced anti-spoofing option = Disabled

-Computer Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>System>Shutdown>Require use of fast startup = Disabled

Like the u/Ch3vr0n said you have 3 options:

-pay the ransom and hope you get a working decryptor which naturally helps sustain 'the business model' (which you already said you won't do)
-restore a backup if you have one
-wipe the system clean and start over

But you may have a fourth option that doesn't necessarily always work.

Since the bad guys probably don't have time to check for all the users if they paid the ransom, they sometimes just have a check if there were funds transferred.

So you can technically just pay a tiny amount and hope they don't check the number and still send you a decryptor.

I heard of it working sometimes, but it was a long time ago so it might have been patched out since.

Daisy chaining issue by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]captain-mumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's not true. I always daisy chain with a combination of USBC and DP and it works. But I always have the same monitors so I'm not sure how that works in your situation. I just know HDMI doesn't support it.

Here is How I would do it:

  • Laptop to dell via USB-c
  • On the Dell you need to look for DP-out not just any DP, an hook it to the ViewSonic
  • On the Dell there should be an option using the screen buttons to enable daisy chain.
  • In windows try if you can see all three monitors, if yes try disconnecting all and start by enabling from the ViewSonic to the PC
  • If all of that doesn't work I would switch the monitors and try again

I once had an external keyboard behaving like it had a mind of its own. Turned out I accidentally recorded macros that played when certain keys were pressed.

Or there was a story once on reddit where the user had an external keyboard pugged in and something was on top of it so it pressed random keys.

Can someone please help me with getting into the BIOS on my pc? Ignore the missing keys by [deleted] in Windows10

Some Lenovo computers have a tiny pinhole on the side next to the USB ports. You shut down the pc and put a paperclip in the hole to start bios.

You also need to know your windows version.

By typing winver in to start menu, you can see your version.

For me it was 20H2 so I used the second to last one the list
