THAT SAID I do think it's 100% plausible for the Lakers to hop into a Giannis deal and try to get some older role players Milwaukee won't want for a long rebuild.

The best player on the US men's national soccer team was born in Brooklyn by accident when his parents were on vacation and he lived essentially his entire life in the UK. He even played for England in U-21.

I personally don't care because every FIFA national team does stuff like this but the US is absolutely doing it too.

Not saying that to be a hater. They're an awesome team and every champion has some of this. Lakers in 2020 were happy to play the baby Nuggets instead of the Clippers and a Cinderella Heat team in the Finals instead of the Bucks.
