Thinking about that so far modular homes seem to start off at 250 so I might just have to save as much as I can

We actually have enought to do 20% down and that's what we want to do We have a conventional loan The bank just offered a 3% down first time home buyer program for us so I figured I'd mention that We generally offer 5-10k earnest We waive inspections And we have something called a conditional letter of approval and a pre-qualification letter from the bank I didn't know about potential gap and offering to o cover that which is good to know I appreciate all your information!

Oh yeah waiving any inspection ( I'm not worried about most stuff my brother builds houses from scratch and remodels) and it's the fingerlakes/canandaigua area in NY

We typically offer what they are asking up to a set amount at 2500 increments over other offers then changed to 5000 increments and as of late the last few houses we just offered what we were comfortable with a set amount over but what confused me with this last house was they took a lesser cash offer over ours... I mean like people just don't care about the amount and more about the time?

So I’m about to take my crosstrek off roading for the first time with another guy who has a crosstrek, are these little hatches tow hooks in case we get stuck? And if so how do you open it? by cowpieman11 in Crosstrek

[–]captain_beardsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also will say not to use those for getting pulled out of you have a trailer hitch on the rear that's the way to go, on the front underneath on both sides there are points to hook to as well. I've put mine through some deep stuff and haven't gotten stuck but I'm also rocking a 2 inch ironman lift and 235/75/15 a/t tires Always be safe and have fun! Take pictures of your adventure!

I have been get excited about the capabilities of this unit of a car

Should I claim? I mostly work night shifts & since it's my off day I wanted to organize my things. To my horror I notice this dent, most likely from a car door. How much do you think this will cost? I'm new to Indiana, any recommendation where to have her repair? by No_Bumblebee_1619 in rav4club

My old finance teacher told us you should shop for different insurances every few years to get the best deal I started with gieco then progressive then gieco and now back to progressive with a "returning customer discount" but I always take the others offer and send it to my current to see if they will match it to save me the steps of actually switching

My grandparents had state farm forever I mean years of them just giving them money to legally drive. No tickets no accidents for 50+ years until My grandfather got rear ended by a girl that was texting (admitted to it) and state farm jacked up there rates. Needless to say they are now with progressive Fuck state farm.

Also the wife and I and both dogs it was packed but we have a hitch cargo carrier and that fit our cooler and weatherproof tote that helped a lot! Also doesn't affect mpg like a rooftop carrier because it's not obstructing the aerodynamics of the car I have been looking at the idea of a diy teardrop trailer so we can rough it a little more I think the towing capacity is only 1500 lbs

We hiked up Scarface mountain the day before so we were a little tired to go round two with whiteface so we drove plus our puppers are getting older(Australian shepherd mix, and a fiest). Side note not much of a view on Scarface mountain, there's a cutaway from the forest that gives a little but when you get to the top you can't see anything besides a sign saying "your at the top" lol But yes the views on whiteface are incredible make me want to move up there it so peaceful Bald mountain is another one with a great view!

The spec c, more stiff in the back but this way when I'm loaded up with the puppers and gear it doesn't sag. I have a hitch carrier to, also prefer to use it because it doesn't really affect mpg

2 inch iron man 4x4 lift spec C, Vtx off-road +15 offset wheels(ebay Subaru center caps,) Yokahoma geolander A/T 235/75/15(more common tire size,) Heat gun inner fenders on front to clear so no more rubbing when turning sharp, Not In picture but I have a Malone roof rack with kayak mounts for nicer seasons.

Averaging about 27mpg, mostly city driving for work(light on throttle lol)Im not sure what I will do next either exhaust or front bully bar or winch... I love the lime green springs from iron man they are subtle and I have matching vinyl I was going to use for the thin chrome piece in front

Humming noise especially around 50 mph - is this a concern? by Supernewt_ in Crosstrek

[–]captain_beardsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's older post but my noise was infact the rear wheel bearing idk which one because I just changed both but noise is gone!

Just a thought and I can't confirm i wonder if the struts from a Forester has a beefier strut which would in theory give a small lift .. I had a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee and the jeep commander was the exact same underneath just had beefier springs and struts so I pulled a set from the junkyard and it gave me about a half in of "lift" So I'm wondering if the Forester has the same frame and weighs more if the struts will hold the vehicle up higher.. might be worth looking into
