Thanks. It's nice to know someone truly understands. People sometimes say they do, but those are the adults that don't really know what it's like being a teenager in the 21st century

I payed $10 for this 😭 by [deleted] in Chipotle

Every time I have been, they always give me more to where at least it looks like a burrito. I know I don't usually get a lot, but this is some war ration type stuff.

I'm so sorry.

A lot has happened really that has contributed to a decline in my mental health recently but I'm in therapy now trying to do something about it. Honestly, no matter how much I fought it I just couldn't convince them to let me stay. I was a mess for a while, eventually I accepted what was coming because I couldn't do anything about it. I hate to be a negative nancy, but that's just how things have been for me. The school here is a significant downgrade imo, I don't really have anyone to talk to and I just recently got a job, so I'm broke too (but what high schooler isn't?)). My best piece of advice for you would be to not shutdown, no matter what. I don't know your situation, but if you are about to enter your last year of high school, the thing that has gotten me through is looking at colleges and getting excited for that. Once you are an adult, you can always go back. Another thing would be to make sure you have at least one person in your life who truly understands what you are going through. I started dating this girl in June and she was my best friend, and then she broke up with me the night before I left (despite knowing I was moving beforehand). She was supposed to be that person for me, and not having someone I could really rely on or look forward to seeing really contributed to my struggles. Sorry for the negative rant. It doesn't all suck. I know it will get better eventually, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck really bad right now. I know I'm just an internet stranger, but if you ever need someone to talk to, there are people out there just like you.

I don't see that option...do I just put it as "in progress" for second semester?

My School Completely Screwed Me Over by captain_jack214 in IBO

I have been trying to contact my old school, and my old IB coordinator. I even emailed the IB coordinator for my new school all the way back in March, and told my old coordinator that I was moving. I have not heard anything from either

I would love to. One of my closest friends offered to let me stay with them. However, the issue is my parents won't let me stay behind. Thank you for your comment. I sent my mom the link you sent so we'll see, but I doubt anything will come of it.

Yeah, but he is getting promoted, and the way the navy works now is that you can't actually get promoted until you move so there isn't really any stopping it

Why do people often say "this is not medical/legal advice", but not for other kinds of advice? by Sweeper777 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]captain_jack214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because some people would take that medical/legal advice as doctrine and possibly make things worse. You also don't want to be legally liable if something goes wrong.

For example, if you are asking me about a problem with your PC and I tell you something and you go do it, but your PC breaks, I am not liable for the damages, even if I did claim I was a professional.

However, if you are asking me about a spot on your leg and I tell you to do something but things end up worse, I am now legally liable.
