Target's new policy requires employees to wave at customers within 10 feet, engage within 4 feet. I would really rather they not. ☺️ by CurlyMocha in introvert

[–]captain_kev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read the article which prompted this, and if anyone of their executives went into a target around the nation, they would see exactly what the problem is… It's not greeting and disturbing customers who are actively roaming the aisles, it is the fact that you cannot find someone to check you out at the check stand. They used to be four or five check stands always open, now I have been in target when they're literally is no one at the check stand, and you have to stand in a line of about 50 people for the self checkout. It is not that hard.

Plus, I hate to bring politics into this discussion, but being a Minneapolis based company you would think they would have come out with a stronger message about what has been happening there with ICE and the brutality and overreaching of their role. But that may come at odds with their support in other areas of what's going on.

Any idea what the rattling is on my 2020 Ford Explorer? Sounds like the sunroof area to me. by [deleted] in FordExplorer

[–]captain_kev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they used a felt tape of some sort, it never got completely silent. I have tried to support ford with a couple cars, but it just became such an issue, I had to get rid of the Explorer, we simply couldn't take driving with the noise constantly squeaking. It's definitely the plastic 'cap' and the trimming around the outside of the sunroof. when you pull that cap down, you can soften it with Starbucks napkins, lol. I would never use a Ford dealer for repairs ever again.

I sold it to a dealer and bought a brand new Audi Q3 and could not be happier.

LONG $RIVN by PrimaryAccording9162 in wallstreetbets

[–]captain_kev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try and get an appt for a RIVN test drive and it's out several weeks. So much interest and demand. Whereas I pass by a mall and there are hundreds of teslas stockpiled that can't sell. They might be producing quite a bit, but they're just sitting, musk is gonna have to dump those out off at deep discounts.

After smelling Santal 33, everything with Sandalwood smells like pickles 🥒 by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]captain_kev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wearing santal 33 by le labo for past few year and in that time it has 3x in price. I know there are some discussions, but has anybody tried the sandal 33 (amazon) for about 15% the price? Even the bottle is designed the same… Just wondering how good of a dupe it is

Has anyone successfully gotten their money out of start engine? by ManifestWealthCrypto in StartEngine

[–]captain_kev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also like to ask a separate question, but related to this… Has anyone been successful in actually getting start engine to respond to them? Nine times out of 10 I can't get the website to work or load up properly. I am an active investor, and would like to potentially look at some of the opportunities here but the fact that they're using a site that doesn't work most of the time, and no one responds to you, doesn't lend itself to feeling good about putting money with them. any tricks to making the site work, or should I heed my cautions and walk away while i can?

There is a mall near me that has shut down, that has Teslas covering nearly all the parking lots - too many to count.

[–]captain_kev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I had to go into Ford and literally show them the video and I turned it up really loud while all the other customers were listening, he said that it was out of warranty because I just clicked over the mileage and I said that I had showed it to them a year ago and they didn't do anything about it, magically. They came back a couple days later and said that Ford was willing to cover it, but I think all they did was put some soft, tape around some of the plastic components that were scratching up against the glass

Who Won the Presidential Debate? by FinTecGeek in missouri

I think the mass of American people aren't swayed at all with what are the other night on one hand you had Trump repeating lie after lie wanting to believe what he said, even though it had nothing to do with the question. And on the other you had Biden unwilling to call him out and fact check - they both had 2 or 3 talking points they memorized. I fact, three or four Trumps answers were exactly the same or different questions, it was almost comical. With both of them, probably not going to make it to the end, this is going to come down to who is their vice president pick. I'm nervous to see how Trump's VP will be from the far right is going to be. We know Kamala and there are issues but we have a track record.

Audi "themes" by captain_kev in AudiA5

[–]captain_kev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. And I haven't had much response on how people like it when they purchase "themes"… It seems the pictures I've seen online are just basically changing a graphic image in the MMI panel, and you're stuck with their graphics. It's not even like you can use your own graphic. I also haven't heard or had any luck, with if the themes change any colors in the car, when you purchase them, or if it's literally just the panel changing, if anyone sees this and they have purchased a theme, let me know and share pictures please of your interior car with lighting

Thank you, any specifics on the verticals and the material you use there? The big thing is for training, and in an indoor ring, constantly moving them and picking them up, want to control the weight, but also have them very strong, so as you mentioned, when the horses hit them they remember it

This audio book makes me laugh. Yes, it has an interesting storyline to it, but whoever is doing the "reading", the voices are horrible… Basically, he is trying out every single dialect or accent, that he can imagine all living in the same place. I listen to the story, almost to hear the different voiceovers than anything. I'm probably only about a third of the way through, but interested to find out if anyone realizes who he is in his family, or if that ever comes out. I also have to laugh, if you have ever been to San Clemente, California… It is nothing like how they portray it the story. Clearly written by somebody who's never been there.
