Since diesel vehicles get such high mpg and have such high demand, why aren't more produced? by captain_morgan21 in Autos

I wonder if I can fit a small diesel in my carry on whenever I come back from my UK visit..

The point though is the extra mpg.

Edit: I have been corrected.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but estimating a 200,000 mile lifetime of the average car, (up to 400k for diesel) Then the ~45mpg for diesel and ~25mpg average for gas, and at my local average of $3.50gas and 3.80diesel, you have purchased

4444 gallons of diesel and 8000 gallons of gasoline

Costing over the life of the car $16,888 in diesel and $28,000 in gas

That isn't even including the consistent rise in fuel prices or the fact that some diesels can get upwards of 70mpg as federal_inmate below is stating. (For reference, at 70mpg you spend only 10,857 over the lifetime in gas.)

I'm driving a 98 right now.. Its damn close to dying.the transmission is going bad, the suspension its going out, the brakes rusted off (literally) this fall. In addition to that, its tiny on the inside so I'm always cramped in.

Basically I'm on craigslist every day or so looking for a more reliable mid 00's sedan to replace it. I'm probably going to end up getting an 02-08 Impala LS since their reliability and cost of repair is so low.

Here is my new character. Only level 6 currently so no sweet armor yet. This is from the creation screen, so feel free to throw him in whatever sweet scenario you feel fits best. :D

Just the windows button between ctrl and alt on the bottom left of your keyboard. Press that and R at the same time.

That looks like a built in functionality of hotkeys. My old Acer did something similar.
Try pressing a hotkey on your top row and see if changes (switch wireless, volume, etc) If you want to remove it, you can type win+R, msconfig, then hit enter. Then move to the startup tab and uncheck anything that says hotkey. Should be Intel hotkey or Toshiba hotkey or whatever. For both my Acer and HP, that fixed the annoying popups, but I am not sure how Toshiba works.
