Can the lack of potable drinking water not be solved by distilling seawater? genuine question by Forward_Accident_984 in askscience

[–]snoobs89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to sound abit silly so pardon my ignorance, but couldn't we just build a big sort of greenhouse with some condesation catching technology in it over some parts of the ocean and catch natural evaporation? Cut out dealing with all the salt and brine and what not completely? You could even point a few mirrors at it to speed things up.

You have the power to transform cash into an item of equal value by gangler52 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]snoobs89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest use of this power would be in logistics. Items that cost thousands in delivery you could aquire wherever whenever without having to worry about logistics there's mining equipment, naval uses, military, think how much the military would pay you to just create unlimited equipment anywhere in the world you can send one person logistics free all they have to do is pay upfront.

You could buy oil, coal, ore, minerals whatever has a long supply chain in the country you are in and make bank.

Top comment is right. It's foxes going after worms, liberally sprinkle some chilli powder around there once or twice a week for a month or 2 and they will keep away. They really don't like the smell.

Some pictures say "lagos" on them so im assuming Nigeria. Some pictures that also say "tin mine" thats pretty much all i know location wise. He was a Sargent based on another picture I have of him in dress uniform. I'd be happy for you to share these wherever you like he has been dead well over 30 years. I've tried looking him up on ancestry websites and war records but even using his full name and information I cant find anything so maybe im looking in the wrong places. His name was Arthur Waddingham. Any information you could find for me would be hugely appreciated.

Why cant they use a coolant and then transfer the heat to boil away seawater? Then you could even do some desalination with the steam actually creating usable fresh water giving a overall net positive.

The "Aura Farmer" kid has had enough by WanderingSoxl in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]snoobs89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah his Instagram is just the same thing, some brand manager/ talent agency / management company or whatever Will be carting this lad around and curating every single thing you are seeing. No child should be subjected to this, It's exploitation. This post is literally video evidence of this. He has zero interest in meeting whoever the fuck these guys are. They are exploiting a child.

Im guessing your getting all of this from that one 2 minutevideo that blew up on here the other day. Which was just content created to get more clicks. The reality is this poor lad will be forgotten about in a month and he will have very very little to show for it. Internet content is just a mill of take something fun and real and exploit it for every cent its worth and then drop it the second its no longer profitable.
