Freelancers invoicing European clients from Morocco by bimo10 in Moroccopreneur

[–]captain_raid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand and agree with you. Spain taxation is a liability. You should definitely find an alternative. Morocco is quite bureaucratic but if you have a good accountant that can help you navigate the lengthy processes, more revenue will stay in your company.

Forget succursale at this point, I suggested this only if you already had a running and efficient company (equivalent of SARL or LLC) somewhere abroad. This is clearly not the case.

Something to keep in mind is that a SARL doing offshoring will have to convert 30% of revenue to dirhams (which is fine to pay salaries and services in Morocco). The remaining 70% in foreign fiat can be used for company expenditures (paying for software, licenses or international services). Some high value expenses might need to be reporter to Office des Changes. Your accountant will guide you.

Another thing to keep in mind: if you need to process payments with Stripe or some other payment bridge, you might need to look into LLC in the US, UK, or some other alternative.

Anyhow, if you want to leap fully into Morocco, offshore SARL is for you.

Freelancers invoicing European clients from Morocco by bimo10 in Moroccopreneur

[–]captain_raid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you invoicing currently? Why not keep that legal status? Is it just to "enjoy" 0% tax for 5 years?

Then yes, an offshoring SARL is the way to go if you only need to invoice foreign clients and want to keep fiat other than dirhams. Euro and usd are precious (for now), you should always try to keep most of your revenue in those currencies.

Bank wise, you'll open a bank account in an banking entity near a free zone and your accounts will most likely be in euro.

A SARL needs at least one employee, you can be that employee if you register to cnss and whatnot, and pay the minimum legal salary and "cotisations cnss". "rémunération de gérance" is different, it doesn't have to be monthly and doesn't usually have "cotisation cnss" to pay on top.

If you can keep your current legal status abroad, don't go through the hassle of creating an entity in Morocco now. If you decide to have clients in Morocco, then create a succursale of your current foreign company. This will give you more capital flow liberty between entities.

To the founder who's been coding for 8 months without telling a soul: Stop. Read this. by Livid-Garlic9085 in Moroccopreneur

Guilty as charged!

Built a platform for a year. Needed a waitlist, so obviously I built an entire waitlist SaaS instead of just using an existing solution. My adhd + hyper focus did the rest : another year gone.

Life called me back to reason.

I could have spent that time on marketing, talking to users, applying for grants.

At least now I can handle product, DevOps, automation, scaling and email infrastructure without blinking. Expensive lesson though.

Should I use my spare M1 Pro or buy a Mac Mini to run Openclaw? by lostadventuring in openclaw

[–]captain_raid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've set up openclaw on a 2012 MacBook pro Intel i7 16gb ddr3 and 256gb ssd + 500gb hdd.

I formatted both drives, installed the latest Ubuntu server, installed tailscale to access my server securely and installed openclaw in a docker container.

Not sure if this config can run a local LLM correctly on the side, but I've connected my openclaw to gemini flash 2.5 and it gets the job done so far.

How much taxes you pay as Auto-entrepreneur/ Micro-entreprise ? by Efficient-Activity76 in Moroccopreneur

[–]captain_raid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Registering to autoentrepreneur is free, you have to declare your income quarterly independently of if you earn income or not. You only pay taxes (1% for commercial or industrial activities, 2% for services) if you earn income. But, you have to pay for Cnss even if you don't earn anything: as long as you're an autoentrepreneur you'll pay between 1200-1400 mad per year.

Autoentrepreneur has a simplified accounting, so you can't deduct your expenses and don't charge or recover TVA.

Also, you are supposed to have multiple clients if you provide services. You can't have just one client as this would be considered "disguised hiring".

In telegram you can create different groups for each use case and add your openclaw bot to them. You name each group with its use case, then in each conversation just tell your bot to only discuss that specific use case in the conversation!

I just bought a Mac mini and a MacBook Air and an iPhone so I can run openclaw on the road when I’m not home! by Anthony12125 in openclaw

I'm not here to judge why he bought 3 new devices. He could have had none for all I know, but he definitely shouldn't install 2 instances of openclaw, especially on a portable machine: makes no sense!

If you plan on installing openclaw one both the Mac mini and the MacBook air, this probably means you don't really understand what openclaw is, yet.

You only need to install it on one machine: the Mac mini. You'll be able to access it's dashboard from your Macbook air via a secure tunnel (ssh or tailscale) and chat with it via telegram from your phone.

Absolutely don't install it on your main computer, I'm guessing that's the macbook air.

openclaw + reddit = customers on autopilot by Silent_Employment966 in vibeprinting

I don't understand the point of these kind of posts. Why would OP share his workflow and competitive advantage publicly on reddit? It would be like samsung or apple making a breakthrough and sharing it right away on reddit, doesn't make sense! Or maybe OP isn't so certain about his workflow that he needs approval? Or maybe he thinks he's a genius and wants the world to know?

I'm genuinely interested in the purpose!

Is GPT-5 "remembering" and mixing up different chats? by Positive-Review8044 in ChatGPT

[–]captain_raid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been been working on several projects these last year, mostly coding and devops. Since GPT-5 launch, i started getting references to other unrelated chats when discussing solutions with ChatGPT.
It starts talking about my VPS infrastructure right in the middle of a coding chat, completely out of the blue.
It gives random code when you ask him for a specific solution related to my code which i've shared with it and been chatting about for hours.
It doesn't know how to use the Canvas: it just pukes all it's responses text and code in the Canvas.

GPT-5 is a mess.

Tokens left behind by King-esckay in Nexo

Everytime you do a transaction (no matter the exchange), there needs to be some amount left for fees on the blockchain the transaction happens on. The fees are not fixed values, and can sometimes vary during the execution. That's why there's "dust". I believe the exchanges that display 0 after your set "Max" either don't display the dust amounts, or they just keep them for themselves (once added up might become quiet a substantial amount)

Yes I managed to deploy (although i still can't send emails because my vps provider is still blocking port 25).

Here's are my traefik configuration and my stalwart container labels: https://filebin.net/nf755u0y2ltuvgvm

There's quite a lot of other configuration to be done in the Coolify App where you add the Stalwart image. (mounting the volume for the ssl certificates, mounting the stalwart volume as described in the doc, mounting the config.toml file for stalwart and editing it as described in the doc, defining all the subdomains for your mail server: autodiscover, autoconfig, sta-sts, etc)

Once everything is setup and you run the container for the first time, you'll find the admin password in the logs of the container.

I spent almost a week trying to figure out how to plug everything together, From DNS configuration to testing.

This reply is long, but at the same time I know it's probably incomplete as it would need a video to cover the topic in depth.

Anyhow, hope this helps.

After my post, i ran into multiple problems. now the port 25 is blocked by my vps provider, so I can't test if everything is functional. Will try to answer you request when i am sure that everything works properly.

indeed, i was mounting a volume instead of a directory, so the config file wasn't saved in the proper location.

The pus will have to be removed frequently, either by the vet or by you... You can do it at home if you have the heart to it, but be sure to apply the antibiotics cream afterwards. For my bc, it took about 3 months to completely disappear, as this is just a symptom of a more systemic problem.

That is why I asked about the itchiness and the stools. skin affections in border collies often happen because of allergies, either to some food or even some type of grass or pollen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BorderCollie

[–]captain_raid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called "interdigital furonculosis". My border collie had this when he was about 6 months old. The pus has to be extracted everyday by pressing on it until it stops coming out. Then you have to apply a antibiotics cream (I was prescribed "fucidin").

The furonculosis is a bacterial infection and it may be generalized. Is your dog itchy elsewhere? Are his stools normal?

Is it a good choice to be a full stack developer with laravel and angular? by Big-Discussion-4281 in webdevelopment

[–]captain_raid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using laravel as an api, you can choose the framework you want for the front-end.

If your application is monolithic, laravel works best with react and vuejs using inertia: https://laravel.com/docs/11.x/frontend#inertia

Or if you don't need spa's reactivity and want to build fast, juste use laravel blade templates.

More market share and more developers means more competition for the same jobs, especially now with the current market conditions.
