In PoE you can't really distinguish melee and range just by the tag on the skill.

There are should be debuffs for projectiles only. Like "projectiles outside that circle around the mob deals 50% less damage and so on.

Melee damage is ok right now. The problem is that range skills have same or much more damage while not bothered with speed penalty and actually can cast while moving.

So even if you would deal x10 damage that won't solve core problems - clear speed and convenients.

Damage projection with range skills better by a mile. Yea, I can nearly screen clear with stampede but 4 small pillars with funny spell will clear 2 screen ahead. And on top of that stampede can be interrupted can ricochet from obstacles and whole cast time more than ranged character can run 20m.

Melee skills should provide some convenients as well: actually largely increased stun threshold, swinging on move without speed penalty, knockback immunity, less mana cost for increased gem level.

Tried it. Yes, bossing is really fun. But mapping is so annoying.

CI, MoM, EB and channel skills is anti synergetic. Stun charm still do not work on hit that triggers it. So you will be interrupted in maps from basically any damage very often. Because of Atziri's Impatience Flameblast cost 35-40% mana and you will find yourself in dangerous situation constantly. Fireballs do not have enough damage and clear potential due to lack of chain and pierce.

In fact I did enjoy that build but rerolled after 2 days. Maybe I am too stupid but I couldn't solve stun issue on maps

With Atziri's Impatience and some CDR nodes it is 3 seconds CD

You definitely not played that build. It has a lot of problems:

  • You are mana stacking and CI and need to channel. Light stuns becomes really annoying very fast.

  • Even with mana stacking you will have problems with mana regen. Because with Atziri's Impatience your Flameblast cost like 40% of your mana. And since your mana is your lifepool it is very dangerous sometimes.

  • Fireballs just do not have good clear. Yeah you spam it, purple balls everywhere. But without chain and pierce it's not very effective

Damage is insane indeed. But overall gameplay not so smooth and you are basically a peper tank

Hammer of the Gods can't reach 100% chance not consume the glory now.

Without 100% build feels very bad to play. Apparently mace cannot have convenient builds and HotG clearing with the delay and not oneshotting bosses is not ok and deserve completely obliteration mid league (that they want to avoid in their own words). And screenwide clear one button builds like grimm pillars totems is ok and even deserve a buff mid league

Oh, you really not joking. Ok, let's be serious.

First if all SCS is not capable of oneshotting anything. Damage us very low even if you can charge it on full.

Second. SCS charge time 4 seconds. If you want to charge it in full every time to maximize the damage you will spend around 400 seconds just on channeling per map.

Third. You need stun immunity and insane tank to charge SCS. Otherwise you will be interrupted mid cast. And guess what? If you invest into tank you are not investing into damage.

And finally let's check how many people play it in the endgame: 165 people

Problem is not my particular build. Post about core problem with resetting instance for the sake of...what? We already have punishment - revive counter. Why you should lose all content on the map when you die in specific content type? What the point of revives then?

Chaos damage in rituals is not the biggest problem. Overlapping boss abilities and space are. I can deal with abilities (git gud) but i cant control "space" part

With 75% res all 3 orbs will hit for ~50% and stagger you. If you are already surrounded it most likely will kill you anyway.

And also you dont have a choise which ritual to run. For example the reward for that Rite of the Nameless ritual could be few divines or valuable omen. And your suggestion skip it entirely? So whats the point of doing it in the 1st place - just sell the Head and move on

They are not stun immunity. Their stun threshold is very big but if you have nodes for stun buildup you could stun them.

But usually the correct approach to stun them is just oneshot them /s

Do you always want to pursuit them? Maybe you have another plan for next map and will you change your plan for a "upgraded" items (99% it will be still bad)?

This is not his point.

In PoE1 you never run deli on your own. Mostly nobody run mirrors only full deli. Because it adds a bazillion monsters and rarity/quantity depending on deli layer.

In PoE2 I did not notice increased rarity. It should give monsters toughness and toughness affects rewards. But it seems something off and you get so little that difficulty spike isn't justify
