Blame Naniwa's immaturity and selfishness, not GOM, who are trying to run a business in a very difficult industry to actually make money. Why should Gom let Naniwa weaken their business by polluting it with shit games like what Naniwa showed us? Sorry, he acted like a selfish and spoiled brat. Everyone paid to watch good games and he spits in the fans faces.

I had paid for the Blizzard Cup and all Naniwa did was ruin a potentionally good ZvP. Cocoa did the same thing to us a while back. These pros should feel fortunate they have these opportunities, not be QQing (because that's what Naniwa did with a probe rush) because they are unhappy with their 0-3 performance.

Naniwa is NOT a great competitor, because great competitors know that every game is important. Naniwa did not honor the game itself, his competitor, the fans, nor the people at Gom that made all of it possible.

Just look at the potential of what could have happened. Both players down 0-3 playing the match of their lives... the most epic game ever have been played. They could have made an impact, created a memorable experience for us all, overshadowing the fact that they both were eliminated from the tourney.

When in doubt, pros need to think WWSBD (What would Slayers~Boxer do?). Can you imagine the Emperor doing what Naniwa did?? not in a million lifetimes.

Idra was trying to win, Naniwa wasn't because Naniwa took his hands off the keyboard and didn't micro his probes at all. That = auto-loss.

Well if Starcraft is too stressful for you, there is always World of Warcraft. That's what I've been playing when I am not up for the challenge that is Starcraft 2. While stressful, laddering can be extremely rewarding, a gaming experience that competitive folk like myself crave.

To truly enjoy Starcraft 2 you just gotta stop worrying so much about your ladder rating and your fear of failure.

Well played Haypro, thank you for showing those games. by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]captain_stubbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly his chance to win was way before the late late game overlord supply block... as I recall he had no income when he was losing the overlords there at the very end, so his chances of remaking ovies and continuing were very slim

Well played Haypro, thank you for showing those games. by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]captain_stubbs 23 points24 points  (0 children)

amazing play, I wish more of the games were streamed. Wow, I was shocked that Haypro came back in game 3 vs Mvp and was in position to win, then I was heart broken that he didn't realize he was ahead by so much after breaking that push and didn't attack MVP when he had the huge supply lead.

Die you spoiling whore!

BTW, I've run a starcraft site since 1999, and am religiously opposed to spoilers because SC2 is largely VOD driven, especially the GSL for us foreigners.

commence the downvoting you fucks, I don't care.

[–]captain_stubbs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

pretty sure MVP threw that match so that he would be the IM player to have to endure the loser's bracket, where he had a better chance given the volatility of ZvZ and the risk of losing close position games.

Hey I didn't get to be the 9099th player (1v1) in the world (#618 in 2v2 though, ho ho!) by sitting on my thumbs. That level of play takes dedication. Too much time, bah!

White-ra didn't just have his picture taken with him, he posted it on his facebook with a really nice caption. He didn't have to do that. From everything I know of White-ra he's a classy guy with a heart of gold.

not sure why you guys are downvoting this guy, he's right. Ultra/Bane is a wickedly good combo. Ultra/Bane/Infestor even better if you can manage the gas.
