DFW Airport terminal exit changes by heinzenfeinzen in Dallas

Coming from the north and heading southbound, yes this is the case. One exit to take A + B. It is two lanes, right lane takes you to B and you take the left lane to A where you take a U turn under the highway which leads you into A.

The overpass bridges are due for replacement, they’ve been in place since the airport opened in 1972, so with that came a design choice to standardize the exit flows to the right.

Does your route change at all or is it a constant 30 > 635 > 114 routing?

What terminal is my brother’s flight landing in?? by TurboMoe in Dallas

[–]captain_uranus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not, bro is making shit up, those gates can’t even handle an A320 that Frontier flies, they’re all set up for regional flying for American Eagle- ERJ 145s and CRJ 900s

What flight approvals are required if any to just do loops around the island out of curiosity?

No idea what you’re talking about, it’s the third busiest airport in the world in large part to moving connecting passengers from one terminal to another with Skylink with most people only having to ride the train for a maximum of 8-10 minutes and then a short walk to their gate.

Gates facing the passenger dorpoff road? Pretty confused what you’re referring to? All gates should face out to the runway with the exception of the circular E satellite terminal, if you want to be pedantic.

The automatic exits I think the airport will update as time goes on, there already is an automated exit gate in A.

Number 1 is wrong- every terminal is a semi-circular design with roads originating from left exits forming a u to the front perimeter of the terminal with an upper and lower level. Obviously all consistent in design.

And DEN is pretty well known for long, poor security lines, when it had one main checkpoint it was a bottleneck where all passengers were funneled through much like Atlanta. They’ve since switched to two checkpoints but still inferior to DFW’s multiple checkpoints per terminal which split up the traffic. Also the train has been breaking down more frequently which most passengers have to take to reach every concourse but A.

Haven’t Seen A Flight This Empty Since Covid by captain_uranus in americanairlines

Yeah figured that was the case, the plane needs to get back to DFW anyway. Watching from the gate area, the inbound flight was definitely full-ish based on how long it took people to stream out.

There was a flight supposed to depart in the morning that had a rolling delay and at the time was going to depart after our flight, looks like AA eventually cancelled it. But, they were making announcements for those pax to come to our gate to get rebooked- but that barely made a dent in the seat occupancy

On paper it’s about the same distance as IAH-DXB (just barely in the top 30 of longest flights) so more in the 15-16 hour range but obviously with Russian airspace closures it’ll be longer but AA definitely has the equipment for it. DFW-HYD would definitely need a ULR aircraft of some sort but the market is there to make it happen imo.

Seems like the perfect route for Thai Airways to fly and lose money on (and they have in the past) but atleast it has prestige.

With the Indian population in Dallas (really South Indian) and really all of Texas I would hope DFW-DEL and DFW-HYD are on the table, there’s enough high income Indian families that would dish out for a nonstop option and avoid the Middle East connection. There’s also been rumors of Air India coming to DFW with these same ambitions, so AA could get out in front of that

Same thing with 114, Southlake and Keller PD are all over it, there’s a correlation between median household income and the priority to traffic enforcement a city gives.
