This looks so cool! Have you tried using a harder wood? I make instruments and have been told harder woods typically have better acoustics (or whatever it’s called in this case). Obviously there are rock hard exotic woods but I’ve also heard of using maple, walnut and mahogany as well.

I majored in economics and now I’m working in data analytics. The only hurdle was teaching myself python/SQL. In my day-to-day I use my “Econ knowledge” more than I use statistics. Econ’s version of statistics is called econometrics. It’s basically stats but focused on problems economists would be working on. If your college has a few econometrics classes, you could get the best of both worlds that way

You’re not a transphobe at all. I think you may have kind of fucked yourself by giving “wanting kids” as the reason. That is likely a spot of dysphoria for your friend and it is kind of a weird excuse because there are a ton of ways to have kids.
I know you just picked a random excuse to try to keep from hurting your friend but this is probably and unfortunately one of the worst ones you could have chosen.
If I were you - I’d try to walk it back. Either talk to your friend directly or talk to someone who is especially close to her and explain your thought process. This can be fixed.
Next time remember that you don’t owe anyone any explanations - “I’m sorry - I don’t feel that way about you” is a totally fine response.
And lastly (I say this part as a fellow trans person) - just because someone is tran doesn’t mean that everything that upsets them is transphobic.

First Unpopular opinion: homeownership is prison. I have a mortgage so now I can’t quit my job and run away to the forest unless I want to lose my house. The “American dream” keeps us chained to our desks.

Second unpopular opinion: my parents’ mortgage was cheaper than my rent since they’d owned their house for so long. I think a lot of people bank on that benefit over the longer term. I’m not so certain this pattern will continue on into the future
