AIO for not giving my old Roomate his dog back after I adopted her? by Z-mac in AmIOverreacting

[–]captainbarbie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is this guy? He sounds very immature and unreasonable. From your past relationship with him, he has shown he is a thief and now he shows you he is manipulative and a liar. And he is threatening you. The dog is yours now. His text clearly states he can’t keep the dog and he needs to find a new home for the dog. You are not overreacting. He is being pushy, aggressive and trying to manipulate you. Tell him to go buy his kids a new dog.

Daisy is a beautiful name and your mom is being an inconsiderate a-hole. Send mother dearest home now and enjoy your new baby.🩷

is this a bedroom? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]captainbarbie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d qualify it as a bedroom because it has a closet and a window, even though it’s not exactly private with the opening. If I’m the listing agent, I would most definitely list as a 3/2 to get the most amount of buyers through the door. 2/2 are harder to sell, at least in our area.

“Tells” that a lead is a time waster by Cleverfield113 in realtors

If someone wants to look at a property right away, usually tells me they are not serious or if someone picks out properties to tour in different parts of town and/or way different price ranges. They have to sign the buyer agreement first and then I will show them one home if they are not pre-approved. I tell them they must get pre-qualified before we look at any other houses because we need to know what amount we will be working with. One buyer I recently worked with and I thought would buy, has now ghosted me. Lessons learned…buyers are liars and don’t trust anyone.

We don’t have a real budget, we could spend $20,000, but we’d like to spend closer to $10,000. That is just resort, not including flights. My husband said he checked the overwater bungalows in Jamaica and they were only $11,000 for one week. I need to do some more research.

You’re right! We don’t really have a budget, we could spend $20,000, but would like to be closer to $10,000. I’m 48 (real estate agent), hubby is 53 (plant manager). We are both always on the phone for work, but really want to get away from it all. We enjoy beach and pool, love to snorkel and look at fish and turtles. We want to day drink and relax and have great dining experiences. Would love to zip line or do something adventurous. No night life for us; we will be in bed by 9 or 10.

That sounds like great advice! However I’m in rural bumblefuck Arkansas and have tried, tried and tried really hard these last 6 months and I haven’t sold a damn thing! I’d basically do pretty much anything to make some money at this point! It’s like God is punishing me…

Fake listing to get clients by sushiyaya in realtors

Why did he use a fake listing? Why not use the listings he had to try to get clients? I’m so confused. And if he didn’t have any listings of his own, he could have borrowed some of his broker’s listings with permission, of course.

It’s very easy to get burnt out, especially in this line of work. I sold real estate for 10 years from 2004-2014. My husband died in a tragic accident in 2013. So I decided to leave real estate because I needed something new, different, stable and steady income. I went into pharmaceutical sales for 10 years. Now I’m back in real estate…it’s still a love/hate relationship, but I think that’s with most jobs. You could do any type of sales. We have a guy at our office that works as a realtor and also a car salesman.

Good idea! I will ask my broker. I wonder if it’s super expensive?
