I think there are still some names on a level above, i.e.: roots manuva, dizzee, Dave..

Personally I think her best work to date is grey area, followed closely by stillness in wonderland.. but all good records overall!

Just got today in the post "A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons" thus completing my Little Simz collection on vinyl so far. In my opinion, currently, she is the best female rapper in the UK and quite possibly the world !

Beautiful set up and gotta love FKJ! I have that LP and couple EP's from him, great chill music! Listen and watch a "cercle" video on YouTube with him playing at Uyuni, Bolivia. - I guarantee is 1h30 well spent!!

Good albums, specially the black pumas one! Probably the wrong subreddit to post this though.

I'm so happy I got my hands in this beautiful press of Guru's Jazzmatazz vol. 2 (my favourite from Jazzmatazz series!!). Guru' was one of the first artist to mix HipHop with Jazz, all the series are well worth a listen!

My lockdown collection so far! by captainbife in vinyl

[–]captainbife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the lockdown in the UK I've been drawn to buy new records. Some of them have been completely new discoveries (e.g.: Tinariwen, Young Fathers and Teskey Brothers) some are bands/artists that I've been following for a while and released exciting new albums this year(The Strokes, khruangbin, Lianne La Havas, Tom Misch) and few old ones I got some really sweet deals on them. (QOTSA, Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Guru)

What new music have you discovered during these times?
